New Year

Ethan was a man of little words when it came to romance, but that was because he always preferred taking action instead and I loved him for it and even though it may be expensive, it was free food for me and bills on him, so who was I to complain?

He drove for thirty minutes or so, and parked at a particularly familiar diner. Wong’s diner has been our escape shack when we were both stressed from everything but we hadn’t been here in a while and so with a smile on my face, I stepped out.

“Why Wong’s?” I asked curiously.

“Well, to get on for the day, we need to fill you up first,” he said and winked before grabbing my hand and pulling me inside. We took our regular table and I smiled as I recalled our experiences in this place.

“Remember how I got you roped into my life here?” he asked, flashing his pearly white teeth. A waiter came for our orders before I could reply. We ordered our usual and the waiter left.
