Chapter 5

Naya stiffened in place when she found out that the crazy teacher she was avoiding was standing straight in front of her.

"Where are you going again? Want to avoid me again, hmm?"

"N-no sir. I Hmm I.."

"I what?”

"Come on, Naya. You have to think now."

"You think you can escape from me? You think you can hide from me?"

"W-what do you actually want?" Naya asked scared.

"What do I want? Hmmm... what if I said I want you?" Mr. Arka asked in a cold tone, making Naya even more afraid.

"You asked the wrong question, Naya, stupid," thought the girl, cursing what she had just asked.

"You asked me what I wanted, and you already know the answer. So..."

"Ah, the principal is back again?"

Mr. Arka immediately turned to look at Naya, in that second the man saw Naya who had managed to run away from him.

"Nayena Lim!!!!" he shouted full of anger because he had been fooled.

Naya ran as fast as she could towards her class before the crazy teacher managed to catch her again. Because she was too focused on running without looking at the road, the girl accidentally bumped into someone walking in the opposite direction. "Sorry, I didn't mean to," he said, looking down apologetically.

"Oh Naya?"

"Yuna? Yuna, sorry I didn't mean to. Is something sick?" 

Yuna shook her head "Why are you running like that? It's like you're being chased by a ghost."

"Indeed, I'm being chased by a ghost. Even scarier than a ghost."

"Huh? N-nay you shouldn't be kidding."

"Eh hehe sorry Na, I was kidding. Oh yes, where are you going? Isn't it still class time?"

"Oh, I'm going to Juna's class to return the book I left at my house last night when I stayed over."

"What?! Sleeping?!" asked Naya while screaming loudly. 

"Why, Nay? Juna often stays at my house when my parents are out of town. Oh yes, you're in the same class as Juna, I'll just leave you with me, okay? Give it to her."

"Y-yes Na. I'll give it to Juna later."

"Okay, then I'll go back to class, Nay, thanks."

Naya just nodded. "Juna often stays over at Yuna's house? Gosh, what are they doing?" For some reason, he felt sad inside.

Naya unsteadily walked towards class. Throughout the journey he didn't stop thinking about what Yuna had just said. About Yuna who said that Juna often stayed at her house. Gosh, somehow his mind was all over the place. Naya was so curious about what Juna was doing that she had to stay overnight at Yuna's house. Or maybe they did that? Naya quickly shook her head. The girl tried to throw away her dirty thoughts. There was no way Juna would do that forbidden thing.

"Naya, where have you been? I went to the teacher's room earlier but I didn't..."

"This is a gift from Yuna," said Naya, interrupting Juna's words. The girl gave Yuna the book she had left before then immediately sat down in her chair.

"Nay, are you okay?"

"Naya, why is it so strange?" Juna thought.

It looks like Naya's unlucky day continues. Suddenly Mr. Arka came to his class even though there was no lesson schedule for today. "Good afternoon, children," he said, but his eyes seemed to glance at someone.

"Afternoon sir, sorry, are you in the wrong room? There are no lessons scheduled for today, sir," asked Johan, one of the students there.

"Oh yes, I have something to tell you. Starting tomorrow, I will be your homeroom teacher.  Your previous homeroom teacher will stop working tomorrow due to retirement."

Suddenly the sound of the female students' happy screams echoed. Finally they have a young and handsome homeroom teacher, they thought. Behind the joy there is misery for the male students. Oh come on, Mr. Arka is famous for being cruel with male students.

"Is there anything you want to ask?" Mr. Arka asked, his eyes still glancing at Naya, who had only been looking down silently for a long time. The girl seemed to be in a bad mood.

Usually, when she has contact with Mr. Arka, Naya will immediately protest or be anxious, but this time, Arka saw that her favorite student was just silently lost in thought and didn't even glance at her once.

"No sir."

"Naya," called Mr. Arka.

"Nayena Lim," Mr. Arka had called his favorite student twice but it seemed like the person he was calling didn't hear him at all.

"Nayena Lim!" Mr. Arka shouted again, this time shouting a little made Naya immediately wake up from her reverie.

"Sir Arka?"

"What's wrong with you? Are you sick?"

Mr. Arka put the back of his hand directly on his forehead, making Naya and almost all of his students stare in surprise at their teacher's actions.

"Sir, what are you doing?"

"It's not hot, what's wrong with you? Is there a problem?"

"No sir."

"I think you have a problem. Because I have officially become your homeroom teacher, you are one of my responsibilities. After the second break, meet me in the room. I think you need counseling because of your problem."

"What? M-you're my homeroom teacher?"

"You were so busy daydreaming that you didn't hear what I just announced. So come to my room later."

"N-no need sir. I'm fine."

"I don't like Nayena Lim's rejection."

Not wanting to hear protests from his favorite student, Mr. Arka preferred to immediately withdraw from the class, making the class immediately become noisy again.

"Wow, Naya, I'm jealous of you. What relationship do you have with Mr. Arka?" just Ella.

"Yes, you two look very close," continued Sela.

"Mr Arka also seems to really care about you."

"What are you talking about? I have nothing to do with him," replied Naya angrily. The girl was in a bad mood. they just add to the problem.

"Tsk, no need to pretend, Nay. We all know how Mr. Arka is to you."

"Wow, could it be that you've been getting good grades because your results are close to Mr. Arka's? I didn't think so."

"What? Watch your mouth!"

"Stop it already. Can you guys be quiet? Mrs. Mila has left her assignment so just hurry up and do it!" said Juna as class president.

"Tsk Juna, don't get too close to Naya. She's a flirt. Watch out if Yuna finds out, your relationship could be ruined because of her," said Ella.

"Me being close to anyone is none of your business. Besides, Yuna isn't like you so she wouldn't think shallowly like that."

Naya threw herself on her favorite bed. Today is really tiring.

"Why are you angry, Nay? Who are you, Juna? Isn't it normal for Juna to stay at Yuna's house? After all, they are a couple and what are you? You can only love one side."

The girl covered her face with a pillow. he's really not in the mood right now. He even dared to ignore Mr. Arka's orders who asked him to go to his room earlier.
