Chapter 54

“Where are you going?” 

Folding his arms in front of his chest, Arka stared sharply at Naya who was currently standing in front of him wearing neat clothes, ready to go somewhere. 

“Hangout.” Only one word escaped Naya’s mouth. The woman also seemed to show a displeased look towards her husband. 

A long sigh was heard coming out of Arka’s mouth, the man glanced at the wall clock which was currently showing 7 pm. It was already night and his wife wanted to go out to hangout? Of course Arka wouldn’t allow it. 

“I won’t let you go out, go back to your room,” said Arka in a cold tone. 

“No, I’ve made an appointment with Jinan and Sina.” 

“Naya, have you forgotten your status now? You are no longer a single woman who can freely go wherever and whenever you want. You also have children.” 

“Don’t bring up the child’s name. Tsk, don’t you realize what you did yesterday?  You are free to meet Jenny secretly, you don't realize that you already have a child but still like to meet other women." 

It seems that Naya still thinks that her husband has a relationship with Jenny. 

"Are you still accusing me of having a relationship with Jenny? How many times do I have to explain that I have no relationship with her. I met her because I have an interest." 

"What interest?" 

Again, Arka took a deep breath. The man was annoyed thinking about how stubborn Naya was. Because he didn't want this problem to get bigger, Arka finally told the truth. About the reason why he secretly met Jenny in the campus park. 

"I just wanted to ask her to stay away from you. I wanted to warn her not to dare hurt you because I'm sure her purpose in coming to campus had a certain purpose." 

"I don't believe it." 

"It's up to you if you don't believe it, what's clear is that I've told you the truth. Now I ask you to go back to your room." 

"Go back to your room right now, Naya! Or do you want me to drag you to your room?!" Arka continued in a high tone. 

 Seeing Arka had raised his voice, Naya was forced to abandon her intention to leave. The woman immediately returned to the room before her husband got even angrier with her, although to be honest, she was also angry with her husband. 

Not long after Naya left, Arka suddenly received a call from someone whose number he did not recognize at all. Thinking that there might be something important, the man finally answered the call. While walking towards the balcony in the living room, Arka answered the call. 

Naya, who had not yet fully entered the room, accidentally heard her husband's cell phone ringing. Because she was curious, she finally decided to find out who was currently calling her husband. 

"Good night Arka, I thought you wouldn't pick up my call," said someone who was currently calling Arka. 

Hearing a voice that was a little familiar to his ears, Arka fell silent for a moment to make sure whether the person who was currently calling him was the same person he thought. 

"I'm Jenny, don't you recognize my voice?" 

"Jenny? Why are you calling me?" Arka asked in a cold tone. 

"Jenny?  So the person who is currently talking to Arka is Jenny? Tsk, you liar! He said he has no relationship with Jenny, but why is he now accepting her call?” Naya muttered in annoyance when she found out that the person who was currently calling her husband was Jenny.

Jenny’s chuckle was heard from the phone line. The woman chuckled imagining Arka’s annoyed expression when he found out that she was the one who was currently calling the man.

“Arka, did you hear me?”

“Don’t call me again, I’m busy!”

“Arka wait! Don’t hang up the phone yet. There’s something I want to talk to you about.”

“I’m busy!”

“Please, this concerns my future. This is how it is, we’ll meet on campus tomorrow. No refusals, tomorrow afternoon I’ll wait in the art room. See you tomorrow Arka.” Right after saying this, Jenny immediately hung up the phone to avoid Arka from rejecting her invitation.

“Kenzo is still here? Didn’t Arka come to pick up his son?”

Arka’s father, who had just come home from the office, was quite surprised to see his grandson still at his house. It wasn’t that he didn’t like seeing his grandson at his house, it was just that Arka didn’t usually leave his son for more than a day.

“Kenzo is staying here tonight. Arka called earlier and said he was having problems with Naya so he wanted to resolve his problems with Naya first.”

Arka’s father shook his head knowing his son’s attitude. “Arka, Arka. He’s an adult, a husband and even a father but he still likes to cause trouble. I’m sure he has caused trouble with Naya.”

Since Naya became his daughter-in-law, Arka’s father had indeed sided with the woman. It was even very clear that the middle-aged man loved Naya more than his own biological son, Arka, as evidenced by the fact that he always defended Naya. It was different from when he first met Naya.

“He’s still young and hasn’t been married for long. Besides, we’ve been married for decades and still often have problems.  Let them solve their problems, besides I’m glad Kenzo is here. The house gets crowded every time you go to the office.”

“But don’t get tired taking care of Kenzo.”

“Don’t worry, Naya’s mother often comes here from day to evening to help me take care of Kenzo.”

“Why Nay, it’s not usual to call at night.”

“Shh, don’t be so loud. Jinan, accompany me to campus tomorrow. It seems like Arka wants to go to campus to meet Jenny tomorrow.”

“Oh Nay, them again? Are you still accusing Arka of having a relationship with Jenny? I don’t want to! Arka scolded me enough yesterday.”

“Tsk, please just this once, Jinan. I’m sure they must be in a relationship. I just accidentally heard Arka receiving a call from Jenny. He said they wanted to meet tomorrow. I want to catch them again. Please help me, at least you can be a witness to their affair.”

A sigh was heard from inside the phone line.  Jinan really couldn’t believe that Naya could accuse Arka of cheating when it was clear that Arka wasn’t cheating. Jinan was also sure that Arka was a loyal person. 

“Nay.”

“Please, Jinan. If you don’t want to, it’s okay, tomorrow I’ll invite Sina.”

Hearing Naya say she would invite Sina, Jinan quickly agreed to Naya’s invitation. Jinan was afraid that if Naya went with Sina, the problem would get bigger because Sina really liked to think negatively just like Naya.

“Okay, I’ll pick you up tomorrow.”

“Now that’s good. Okay, see you tomorrow, beb, good night.”
