Chapter 28

Naya looked sadly at her mother who was lying weakly on the hospital bed. Since then, her hand hasn't let go of holding her mother's cold hand, and her tears can't stop flowing freely. "Hiks mom, please wake up. Son't leave Naya. You're the only mother I have in this world, mom.”

 

"How is Naya's mother? Is she conscious?" asked Mr. Arka, who had just arrived with his mother, to Jihan.

 

"Her mother isn't aware yet, Naya is also still inside. She hasn't wanted to eat since yesterday. I've been persuading her but she doesn't want to come out of her mother's room," answered Jihan with a worried face.

 

Now only Jihan is waiting in the waiting room. Sina and Dahya have to go to school while Yuna accompanies Juna who is sick because he donated too much blood to Naya's mother yesterday.

 

"Can I come in?" asked Mr. Arka, to which Jihan immediately nodded.

 

"Mom, wait here for a moment, I'll go inside," he said goodbye before going inside. 

 

"Please sit down, madam," said Jihan, inviting Mr. Arka's mother to sit on a bench in the waiting room.

"Mom hiks please wake up. I'm really scared, mom.”

 

"Nay," Mr. Arka called softly. The girl only looked away for a moment before finally returning her focus to her mother.

 

Mr. Arka was standing next to the chair where she was sitting, he could see Naya's pale face which was not covered by any make-up at all. "How is your mother?"

 

"Still not conscious." 

 

Mr. Arka took a deep breath when he heard the answer that came out of Naya's mouth. "Jihan said you haven't come out of here since last night. You also haven't eaten since yesterday. You'd better eat first."

 

"I'm not hungry, sir."

 

"Hungry, not hungry, you have to eat, Nay. You could get sick if you don't eat."

 

"I don't care, sir. I will stay here until my mom wakes up."

 

"Nay," Mr. Arka touched his shoulder lightly. 

 

"I know you are sad, I also know you must be very worried. But you also have to think about your condition, you can get sick if you don't eat. If you are sick then who will wait and take care of your mom? Besides, your mom will be sad to see her beloved daughter sick when she wakes up later."

 

"Come on, I'll take you home. You should also get some of your mom’s clothes, right?"

"No! You have to eat first, besides, there are mom and Jihan waiting for your mom. Let's get something to eat for you first, there's no objection!"

 

Mr. Arka took Naya to one of the shops which was Naya's favorite place to eat. Don't be surprised why he knows this place, it's because Jihan told him to take Naya to eat here. "Why are you silent? Eat. Isn't this your favorite food?"

 

"How did you know?"

 

"From here," he answered, pointing to his own chest, smiling sweetly.

 

"I don't want to joke, sir," replied Naya, who immediately started devouring her food, making Mr. Arka have to try to hold back his irritation. Now is not the time to get angry, he has to be gentle with Naya because after all this is because of him.

 

2 hours after Naya left, her mother immediately realized. The doctor who examined him said that he had passed his critical period. Now he has also been moved to a regular inpatient room.

 

"Once again, on behalf of my husband, I apologize. I am truly sorry for this incident," said Arka's mother after telling everything to Naya's mother and Jihan.

 

Honestly, Jihan was very surprised to hear Mr. Arka's mother's explanation just now, so all this was his teacher's father's doing? 

 

"So this is all because of Mr. Arka's father?"

"Mommy never taught you to act impolitely like that, Nay."

 

"But all this is because of her family, mom. They are the ones who have made mother like this hiks.”

 

"Arka and her mother are completely innocent. You shouldn't blame them either. After all, this is all fate, mother is like this because of Nay's fate."
