Chapter 4

Once Nina exited from her room she locked the door immediately. She made a rope using bedsheets and got down from the balcony, it was never hard for her because back in Vegas she had done all this stuff a lot of times and is been always scolded by Serah for her crazy attempts, again her eyes got watery but she rubbed them off and started running towards the backside gate, there was no one around due to the ceremony going on in the garden, she could hear the noises of light music. She was so lost in running that she didn't notice someone coming from the front and collided with him, her breath hitched seeing the old gardener in front of her...

She got scared, her last chance of getting out of here also failed, is she going to get caught by them again? The thought panicked her and she started sniffing, the gardener put his hand on her head and gave a weak smile to her...

"I have seen your Father and Uncle grow up in front of my eyes, Your Father was a good man and I feel ashamed that I could never do anything for you. But not today, don't be scared. If you have shown a little courage today then I will not disappoint you. Come dear, it's time to get out of this hell..." He immediately took her hand and dragged her out of the house, he stopped a taxi and she asked him to take her to the train station...

The gardener gave some money to the cab driver and asked the person to take her safely to the  station and make her sit on the train wherever she wanted to go. He put her hand again on Natalie’s head and blessed her to be safe... 

The auto driver seems to be a nice man, he didn't ask her why she is running away in bridal attire, is she running away from her marriage or something? Indeed he just sped up the auto, knowing maybe there will be some people coming in search of her. After some time they reached the station and he asked her where she wanted to go and she stated San Francisco. He told her to wait inside the cab till he got the ticket. He quickly came back with the ticket and took her inside, today luck was also in her favor, maybe jesus was helping her as she decided to help herself... 

"The train to San Francisco will leave in a few minutes from Platform number 3." She heard the announcement and felt relief. The train is already there, if she had to wait then maybe Ricky would have found her but no, not now. She beamed with happiness. The Cab driver took her to the 3rd platform where the train was all set to go, he made her look for her seat and get her settled, she tried to pay him for all things but he quietly declined and left from there after blessing her...

Natalie was shocked to know that humanity had not died, because of the gardener and the driver she was able to escape, escape from those monsters, escape from that jail and she couldn't be any happier...

Now in no time she would be with Nancy and would be safe, she knew her best friend would protect her, she knew it...

The train started slowly leaving not only the station but her bad past, her bad time, and finally she was free…

She asked if any one of the passengers had a cell phone and they handed her one, she immediately called Nancy, but nobody picked up at first, redialing, she prayed to god that someone would just pick up...

Again Nancy’s phone started ringing with an unknown number before she could cut the call, Mason asked her to take it, maybe it was important and she picked it.

Nancy- Hello, who is this?

Natalie was stunned listening to her Bff's voice after so long, she was so overwhelmed that she couldn't speak for a minute until Nancy again said hello and she got back to her senses...

Natalie- Nan.....

it was a mere whisper but enough for Nancy to hear, she was shocked at first but then happiness took over...

Nancy- Nat it's you. Oh my God! Where are you? How are you? I have been calling you since morning but nobody has picked up the phone. Happy birthday besty and finally you remember that apart from your Uncle and Aunt there is also your best friend who misses you and has the time to call.

Mason looked confused, who was Navya talking to? While Caleb looked happy that finally, Nancy could talk to her best friend.

Nancy was blabbering herself but there was no answer from the other end and then she heard her sniffing and she was stiff.

Nancy - Nat what's wrong? Nat, why are you crying? Will you please speak up?

Natalie started crying harder, which left Nancy crying too and a shocked Mason and worried Caleb started consoling her asking what the matter is. Natalie was only whispering please save me, Nan please save me, which was worrying Nancy to no avail. From whom does she want the savings? Isn't she with her family? Lots of questions she was asking but Natalie was just crying instead of speaking...

Caleb took the phone from Nancy’s hand and asked politely, "Nat honey it's me Caleb, you okay? What's wrong honey why are you crying tell me. I am there for you nobody will harm you tell me where are you? "

Natalie remembered Caleb, Nancy’s  Bf, she had told her about him a lot, and the way he talked to her reminded her of Sean and she knew she was safe here, they would help, they definitely would...

Natalie- Brother

When she said brother, Caleb felt different emotions, he never met her in person but today when she said brother, he immediately felt a brotherly emotion for her and an urge to protect her...

Caleb- Yes honey tell me where are you?

Natalie- I am on a train which is coming to San Francisco...

Caleb- From whose phone you are calling?

Natalie- There is a lady on the train, I have borrowed from her...

Caleb- Okay give her the phone…

Natalie handed the phone to the lady and she told Caleb their time of departure and on which station the train would arrive. He asks the lady to please be with Natalie until he reaches there and please put the phone on in case he needs to call. He also assures Natalie he will be there once the train reaches San Francisco and will safely bring her to Nancy.

Nancy was too worried and scared for Natalie and continuously prayed for her well-being, Caleb consoled her and asked her not to be worried as Natalie would be coming here and then she could ask all her questions, he said he would be leaving for the station right now. Mason said he would come along, Nancy too wanted to go but Caleb asked her to stay at home and make her good food and he promised to bring her best friend back home safe and sound...

Both the Men left for the railway station.

After what seemed like forever, finally, the train haltered and there she reached her destination, San francisco. She is happy, she is scared, she is overwhelmed, and emotions are just at their peak for her. She knew she was finally away from those monsters, but what if they found her, only the thought of it made shivers run down her body...

She stepped out of the train with the lady and their family behind, they seemed to be good people, as they took care of her throughout the journey and agreed to wait with her till Caleb arrived.

Natalie was waiting eagerly for Caleb when she saw a balloon vendor with lots of balloons of all colors, shapes, and sizes. She was always fascinated by balloons, and back in Vegas her Dad used them to pacify her whenever she was angry or upset with him... Her feet moved in that direction before she knew it but suddenly a notorious kid passed by pushing her aside, almost dropping her to the ground. A strong grip on her wrist managed to make her stand still...
