Chapter 1

It's a beautiful Garden covered with greenery and different colors of roses. Nature is at its best, the beauty was serene and divine, ready to take earth in its arms. The view is just not enough because there is someone who is looking as beautiful as the nature around, who is perfectly fitting in the surroundings.

Her red off-shoulder gown, which hugs her toned body perfectly, the frills of her gown twirling every time with her, seems like they are also enjoying the beauty of the surroundings. She is looking for something or maybe someone in the Garden, her eyes are as big and round as almonds, her milky smooth skin and her petite figure are just the most gorgeous things one can demand...

Suddenly there was the sound of the footsteps of a horse, and her heart started beating faster, as she knew it was him, ready to take her away from the world. To protect her from evil, to secure her, to love her. Her lips curved into a smile, and her cheeks turned red as tomatoes, just the mere thought of him was enough to make butterflies run in her stomach..... She turned slightly to look up at him...

The voice was still coming, but there was a change. It sounded like an alarm, but a horse's footsteps don't sound like that, or do they?

The voice was now very clear and loud, a lot loud and that made Natalie get up with a jerk...

What a dream.... 😴

Oh yeah you got it right, it was a mere dream, a dream of Natalie Spencer. For the past two years, she has had such dreams, dreams of a hero who will come and save her from villains but well nothing of such happened till now and She doesn't think it will ever happen soon either…

Natalie Spencer, the only daughter of Joseph and Serah Spencer, who died in a car accident two years back. She was her Dad’s princess, he used to love her a lot. Her demands were his commands, which he always fulfilled happily... They lived in Vegas, Both her Mom and Dad were doctors, and they used to run a hospital. She was in her final year of graduation…

When her Dad got the news that her Grammy died due to a heart attack. Grammy, her grandmother used to live in Seattle, with her Uncle and Aunt... Her cousin Sean used to live with them in Vegas for the past 5 years, as he came here for studies and then settled there only.

My parents left for Seattle for the funeral, while she stayed back with Sean, as her last exam was left, so they decided to come over once she was done. But God has some other plans for her. Destiny took a disastrous turn when her parents met with an accident.

That was her last exam, and she happily came home to give the news to Sean, as she had finally graduated and his little sister was big enough now, but the news that she received shocked her to the core. Everything seemed to be stopped, she didn't know what was going on, she didn't know when Abhi brought her to Seattle, when the funeral of her parents were done, and when her Uncle decided she would be living with them as they do not want to leave her like an orphan because they loved her a lot...

But no, that was all just the illusion that was created around her. Just in some days, her life turned upside down when she got to know her Uncle was an Evil man. He was after her property, and he never loved her and just wanted to capture all her property in Vegas...

He could have got what he wanted, as Natalie  was too lost in her parent's misery to care about the money but her parents had left a will behind, according to the fact that all her property belonged to her husband, and she would only be able to get married once she turned 23...

The will made my Uncle angrier, but he couldn't do anything about it, as nothing was in his hand. So he thought of waiting patiently but only after troubling her every day... Natalie Spencer, who in her whole 21-year span of life had never done any household chore was forced to do all of them now single-handedly... The girl who  had a great collection of designer dresses and kinds of stuff, hardly remembering the last time she went shopping...

She was not allowed to step outside, she was not allowed to call or text anyone, not even Sean and her best friend Nancy.She was helpless, many times she thought of contacting her to tell her the whole story, but never got the courage.

Sean, who loved her a lot and could not bear a single tear in her eye, had no idea what was going on here with her Shortcake.

Natalie was pacing to and fro in the living room, it’s been an hour now since her Uncle had gone inside his study with those 2 other monsters, god knows what was going on in their evil mind now. She was tired of all this, the tortures, tensions, and the mental pressure they gave her regularly. She was going to turn 23 in the next 5 days and she was hell scared of what God had stored for her now. Natalie has a strong feeling that something is going to happen that will change her life, and that makes her more scared.

The last time she had such feelings, her parents left her alone in this world with these evil people to fight on her own. She again complained to Jesus, who didn't know in the past 2 years how many times she had done it. She was chewing her nails nervously when Mrs. Green entered the living room with all her bitchy attitude.

"Hey you girl, what are you doing here? Go bring a cup of green tea for me and also grab some diet cookies" She ordered as she was the queen and Natalie her slave, Natalie gritted her teeth in anger and moved towards the kitchen.

Mrs. Melany Green, wife of Mr. Robin Green, who is the younger and only brother of her Aunt Nina Spencer. Both Husband and wife were as bad as her Uncle, sometimes Natalie used to think about how Nina and Robin are siblings, as they were poles apart, but then even her father and her uncle were real siblings. His Father was an angel while his uncle is a devil.

Inside the study, there were 3 people. Her uncle, Mr. Green, and their son Ricky Green , whom Natalie hates to core, he was a big-time creep, and he always eyed her hungrily, that she got disgusted... Thank god he lives in California, and comes once in 2-3 months. But whenever he visits Seattle, his stay is in Spencer mansion only, and he skips no chances of troubling Natalie.

There was no one to save her, not even her Brother. Her eyes got moist remembering Sean. She pushed her tears inside and got busy doing her work.

After what seemed to be an eternity, the door of the study opened and the 3 devils walked out with a hint of victory in their eyes and an evil smirk on their faces, Natalie entered the living room with a tray in her hand with slow steps but her feet almost glued to her place when she saw all the people smiling at her. It was not at all a genuine smile, it was like they were mocking her, laughing at her. Her sixth sense alarmed her about the upcoming Storm and she became alert.

Melany- Oh dear Natalie, Why did you take the trouble by bringing all this? Leave it, come sit beside me. Such a beautiful and obedient child she is. Nina please call some house help and ask them to bring sweets for everyone.

Natalie got nervous seeing the changed behavior of Melany, her cold tone was turned into a sugary one, and her hateful expressions were turned into a loving one... Natalie immediately stood up, she was feeling hell suffocated there…

Natalie - Umm Aunty, I will go and bring the sweets.

Melany - No, No. Why you will bring, there are plenty of servants in this place to do all these chores. You sit comfortably here with me and why are you calling me Aunty? From now on you will call me Mom and you will call Dad Robin, right honey? 

Robin - Yeah why not? From now on, we are your parents, Natalie, we will not treat you as a daughter-in-law but like our own daughter. 

They all laugh, but one soul was shocked, actually shocked would be an understatement, it seemed like her whole world came crashing down. She looked around with a blank expression, was this the end of her? Her dreams, her life? Was this her fate?
