Chapter 2

It was 8.30 in the morning and Rhode’'s mansion was filled with chaos. Servants were running here and there, and cooks were on their toes to get the breakfast ready for their Sir, as he was a very punctual and short-tempered man, he wanted everything to be perfect and on time, he hates people who don't value time and money as in his whole life span he had only learned these two lessons that money and time is the most precious stone which can keep you going...

He is the most successful businessman in the States currently and recently won the Best Business Tycoon award... Yes, he deserved it, he was dedicated towards his work unlike other young age boys, who mostly waste their time on stupid things...

And the person we are talking about here is not an old or a middle-aged man but is a very hot, sexy man who is just 26 and who has won the title at such a young age just because of his hard work. He is the most eligible bachelor in the country and is currently single...

"Mary, where are my files, I can't find them," Mason shouted while getting ready for his office...

Mason Rhodes, the only heir of Rhodes Industries, is the ideal son for every parent and an Icon for young entrepreneurs. Mason was born with a silver spoon, his father was a well settled Business Tycoon in California, who at once ruled the city, but unfortunately, he died 2 years back, Mason was then involved in his music career, FAB 5 the most lovable and popular band of America, Mason is the lead singer of the band, he was a carefree, and sassiest person back then. He loved his parents a lot, they were a happy family. His friends and the members of Fab 5, Caleb, Misha, Daniel, and Ayela were his other family, for whom he could go to any extent. He was famous for his hot looks and sassy attitude. He never gives a damn because he knew his Father always had his back...

But unfortunately, 2 years back he lost his Father in a car accident and his life suddenly turned upside down. He not only lost his Father that day but lost his mother too...  Jenna Rhodes, who was madly in love with her husband, couldn't bear the shock and went to trauma. She shut herself down from the world. Mason tried his best to bring her back, but he failed miserably, and with Mathew, two people died that day, Jenna and the carefree Musician Mason Rhodes.

Yes. He too changed, he was no more the same Mason, he was the merciless Businessman, who fired people for just their single mistakes, and he was the person who worked day and night to keep his Father's possession going. There was a possibility of him leaving his passion, his love his music too at one point but his friends never let him do so. He can't play with their carriers, as he was not the only one involved, it was a band of 5 people. So he kept it going but things around him changed. He stopped partying, and going out with friends he stopped interacting with the media too. He just finishes off his projects and disappears, the other four take care of everything else...

They miss their old Mason a lot. But they were helpless, they tried everything to pull him back to life but all went to waste. He was becoming a heartless and ruthless person day by day. Everyone hopes that maybe someday there will be some person who will bring him back to life and all of them were waiting for that person...

Mary was a caretaker working for Rhodes for years, Mason respected her a lot and she was the only one in the whole house he interacted a little bit with. Mary, hearing his call, left all her work and went to help him. She too was worried for his Mason baba, but there was nothing she could do.

"Here Son, take your file, and also breakfast is ready so please come down" Manik just nodded and taking one last look in the mirror he came downstairs...

Mason - Did Mom have her breakfast?

Mary – Yeah she ate a little. I also gave her the medicine.

He ate his breakfast silently and went towards her room to seek a goodbye. He peeped inside the room and found her sitting on the rocking chair with a book in her hand. He bent down in front of her and kissed her forehead. Neither did she respond to his touch nor did she look up to him, his eyes became teary. He murmured a goodbye to her and quickly left the room. It was his daily routine. Nothing changed in these 2 years and that was killing him daily...

 Mason was looking for something in his drawer when his fingers touched something sharp, he took out the object and his ocean blue eyes fell on a claw clip. A face suddenly appeared in front of his eyes.

(Flashback)

“What happens in Vegas stays In Vegas…” Misha hollered, making all of them roll their eyes. 

“You just want to hook up with all the hot boys here, don’t you?” Ayela squinted her eyes at her best friend, who in return gave her a sheepish smile. We all were in Vegas for a concert. And we were having the time of our life. Since I have joined Rhodes Industries, I hardly get this much leisure time, mostly we all just meet up for rehearsals and recordings. But this was our very first Tour and I couldn’t be any more happy about it.

Music is my life and so are these people  whom I call my best friends. They were busy bickering about things and it was some time for the show to start, so I decided to go out for some air before we finally had to be on stage. I hid my face with sunglasses and a baseball cap, as I wanted to avoid any unwanted attention. I was walking at a fast pace keeping my head down when I collided with someone so hard, making the other person fall on the ground…

“What the hell?” She screeched, making me halt in my steps. My eyes were glued to her feet, which she was clutching tightly, cursing me left right and center. My eyes moved a  bit up and they met with beautiful brown orbs making me freeze. She was pretty, no pretty is the understatement, she was gorgeous. I didn;t know till how long I kept on staring. “Are you freaking blind?” She shouted, trying to get up. I immediately forwarded my hand,she looked at my hand and after thinking for a while, she finally took it. I pulled her up. She was a small petite girl, she looked so tiny compared to my 6 ft. frame. She kept on blabbering about how I should watch my steps while walking and I kept on listening with a stupid smile on my face. Then Suddenly someone called her, “Natalie…” She turned around and looked at the intruder, “Yes I am coming..” She again looked back at me and after one final piece of advice, she left from there. Leaving me behind, My eyes fall on a clip which must be of her, and I don’t know why I picked it up. Maybe someday, we will meet again. Maybe someday,  I will be able to return this back…

3 years ago that was the first time Mason had seen Natalie, and with a hope of seeing her again one day, he took at least 5 trips to Vegas, but he never met her again. But who knew destiny was already written for both of them, and the right time was going to make their path cross again, this time forever…
