Chapter Nine

Avyanna Elyse

It’s  my moms birthday today  at  third quarter na namin ngayon, my grades went down, dahil the past few weeks di ako makapag focus sa studies, worrying kay dad knowing that he's sick kasabay pa sa pag ulila kay mommy, I really miss her and can’t focus sa study ko when I knew that my dad I cried every night overthinking baka may mangyari.

Habang hawak hawak ko ang report card papasok sa  ay bahay kabado na ako, dahil alam kong pa-pagalitan na naman ako nito.

If your grade went up you can go anywhere but if your grades went down you can't.

I really want to go to the cementery para puntahan si mommy, but I know I can't because of what Rigel said.

“Im home,” I said and saw Rigel sitting on the couch waiting for me. 

“Hmm, lets see you report card,” diretsong wika nito.

Kabadong umupo ako sa harap nito sabay abot ng report card, when he saw it he closed his eyes, massaging the bridge of his nose at hinampas ang mesa.

“AVYANNA! ANO BA? CANT YOU GROW UP? AKALA MO BA SA GRADONG ITO MAKAKAPASOK KA SA UNIVERSITY? HINDI! UMAYOS KA!” he shouted, but I just gave him a small smile

“NGAYON PA NGITI-NGITI KA? UMAYOS KA NGA! YONG TATAY MO NAG TRA-TRABAHO DAHIL MAHIRAP NA KAYO! TAPOS IKAW?! NAG PAKAKABATA?!” he shouted, from the word mahirap na kayo, he walked in the line.

“You don’t know anything, you always just think na wala akong kwenta o nag papakabata, and always shout me things that are hurtful to me, do you think it doesn't hurt everytime you shout at me? Ngumingiti lang ako Rigel pero di mo alam kung gaano kasakit nararamdaman ko, nasasaktan din ako sa mga sinasabi mo! i might always smile or laugh pero deep inside basag na basag nako!” I shouted and an inside my room.

It's been a week since nag away kami ni Rigel, parati ko na siyang di kinakausap habang siya ay umiiwas sakin.

After  I ate dinner I sighed, and remembered na death  anniversary ng ni Tita Rose and ni  Mom bukas.

I planned of visiting them tommorow kahit na bawal akong umalis kahit saan.

I closed my eyes until makatulog nako.

I woke up at 12 am when I felt like I'm very thirsty, agad akong lumabas ng kwarto at amang bu-buksan ang refrigerator nang may narinig akong umiiyak.

My heart  beat suddenly played like a drum, since pitch dark  ang paligid.

I quickly turned on the lights, na gulat ako, seeing that Rigel was the one crying, well  he’s not really crying pinipigilan niya ito  ito pero panay parin tulo ng uha niya, ni minsan di ko siya nakikitang umiiyak.

“Rigel?” I said slowly walking close to him.

“What’s wrong? You’re hungry?” he asked while smiling, punas punas pa ang luha niya, as if na di umiiyak.

“No, why are you crying? Are you okay?” I asked while smiling.

Instead of answering me he covered his face using his wrist, now really crying.

I just hugged him, patting his head.

“Why did you asked me that question, I’m not allowed to cry you know,” he said.

I just smiled at him.

“You’re crying because you miss Tita Rose?” I said now looking at me.

“It’s alright, I know you’re pushing yourself not to,  you know you should cry when you miss someone or something, when you’re sad, cry all you want let it all out, heal yourself, don’t hide it, cry it all because the more you hide it the more the pain gets worse, cry today, and when tommorow comes by you can start over while slowly forgetting the pain,” I said while patting his head.

Matapos ng ilang oras na pag iyak ni Rigel ay bigla itong natahimik at nakatingin lang sakin.

“Look, Avy, I'm sorry that i shouted at you,  really don’t know na may problema ka, you should have told me,” he said while holding my hand.

“I know you have also problems, lalo na sa company natin, so I tried to stay quiet, its okay now,” I said, smiling.

“I love you, Avyanna Elyse,” he said and kissed me on my forehead.

“I love you too, Rigel,” I replied.

"Avy," whole i am having my movie marathon Rigel suddenly called my name.

“Yes?” I answered without looking.

“I love you,” he said making me smile.

“Oy! Bat ka ganyan ah!” I said now pointing at him.

“What?” he replied laughing.

“Ganyan ka pag may gusto ka, anong gusto mo?” I said while pointing at him.

“Wala, utak mo Avy may ubo,” he answered.

“Hakdog ka, wala na ah, expired na I love you mo,” I said now focusing on the screen again.

“Expired agad, sus gusto mo lang sabihin ko ulit yon, eh,” he said now putting some plates on the table.

“Mukha mo, halik lang naman gusto mo, eh kuya wag ganun bata pa ako,” I said laughing, he hates it when I call him kuya.

“Wag kang lalapit sakin mamaya ah!” he said pointing at me.

“Eh?” I reacted and looked at him, seryoso na siya ngayon, probably sinabihan ko siya ng kuya.

“Rigel, psst!” pag ku-kulit ko sa kanya.

“Woy Rigel!” hindi parin ako pinansin nito.

“Oi! Honey!” wala parin.

“Hubby?!” I shouted, wala parin.

“Daddy!” I shouted again, now making him smirk.

“Isang daddy dyan, magiging daddy na talaga ako,” he said sabay iling iling.

“Rigel, penge kiss,” I said while eating.

“No,” he answered.

“Bakit?” I replied but he didn’t answered.

Habang nag huhugas kami ng Plato agad naman akong tumingin sa kanya, seryosong nag hu-hugas.

“Pst!” tawag ko nito.

“What?” sagot nito.

“Penge kiss,” I said raising my eyebrows.

“Wag, kuya moko diba?” pag didiin niya sa salitang kuya moko.

“Eh? Joke nga lang yon, sige na Isa lang,” I said poking his cheeks.

“Kanina kapa hingi ng hingi ng halik ah, bakit ba?” he asked not looking at me.

“Kasi pag humahalik ka  nakikita ko nililikot mo ulo mo tapos nakapikit ang mata mo, gusto ko din I try,” I said making him cough.

“Pocha, Avy, stop it already,” I said and quickly finished washing the plates, at agad na tumakbo sa kwarto niya at nilock ito.

“Woyy!!! Rigel!!” sigaw ko nito mula sa labas.

“Alam ko na yang style mo Avyanna! Ang bata bata mo pa marunong ka na sa mga patibong patibong! Kelan ka pa naging scamer hah!” sigaw nito dahilan ng pag tawa ko.

“Matulog kana!” sigaw muli nito.

Dahil nakita ko yong susi na nakasabit sa itaas ay agad na lumaki ang ngisi ko at agad kumuha ng upuan para abotin Ito.

“Humanda ka sa’kin Rigel,” I said trying to reach the keys.

After kong maabot ay agad kong binuksan ang kwarto nito agad itong napatayo sa gulat ng makitang nakapasok ako.

“Oy! Lumabas ka! Hoy!” sigaw nito habang umaatras.

“Isa lang naman eh!” wika ko habang papalapit sa kanya.

“Teka, diba nag babasa ka ng W*****d Avy?” biglang pag bring up niya ng topic.

“Hah? Oo, teka bat biglaang kang nag tanong?”  I said titling my head.

“Well I guess alam mo yong kissing disease? Well unfortunately totoo yon,” he said crossing his hand, while nodding.

“Eh? Nag babasa ka ng he’s into her? Teka totoo yon? Weh? Binobola moko,” I said while pointing at him.

“Well search mo sa G****e, he said, sige hahalikan moko? Sige lang,” he said with confidence at akmang lalapit sakin.

“Hep hep! D’yan ka lang! Sige goodnight!” I said and immediately ran to my room.

Ayokong magkaroon ng kissing disease, I want babies pa!
