Chapter Twelve

Avyanna Elyse

After our flight I quickly drove to  dad, he is the first one I really wanna see after a year.

“DAD!”  shouted and hugged him when I saw him standing outside the house.

“Avy, my princess, I miss you baby,” he smiled dearly at me, and gave me a kiss on the forehead.

“Your husband misses  you too, he’s waiting for you,” he whispered and made me silent.

Fuck him, if he misses me, matagal niya na dapat  akong kinuha sa states.

“Ahh, dad, can I stay here instead?” I said, he doesn’t know that we had a huge problem.

“No, isang taon kang inantay ng asawa mo Avy, kahit gusto niyang

pumunta sayo he couldn’t dahil hindi pwedeng iwan ang companya ninyo,” he said and tapped my hands.

“Umuwi ka na anak,” he said and smiled at me.

Damn, san ako uuwi nito?

I said to myself while nag iisip sa loob ng kotse ko.

I can have my own condo but it’ll take days pa.

I don’t want to go on a hotel either, hotels now a days are so full.

And Dad won’t let me stay there.

And when my brain lighted.

Or maybe Rigel doesn’t live there anymore? Like umuwi na siya or he bought he’s own house?

I quickly drove to our old place, while praying na wala na si Rigel doin and I was right.

“Good thing I didn’t threw out my own keys,” I said while opening the door.

Bingo, I was right no one lives here anymore, all the furnitures are being covered by white tela’s.

I immediately putted down my baggages and walked straight to the bathroom and took a bath.

I woke up like hell, I dreamed of something that made me cry, heck I couldn’t partially remember it.

Agad akong napatalon ng marinig kong may dabog sa labas, agad akong lumabas at aking gulat kong nakita si Rig naka higa sa sahig, lasing lasing halos mamula na ang mukha at napaka gulo ng postura ng buhok niya.

Fuck, what anong ginagawa niya dito?

I saw him smiled when he saw me, and saw tears fell from his eyes.

“Avy,” he whispered, agad akong napasambunot sa sarili ko.

Bakit kasi ako umuwi dito? Fuck!

Di ko naman siyang pwedeng iwan kahit gustohin ko.

I was about to run to the kitchen when he pulled me, hard enough to lay me on the floor.

I looked at him shocked, when he held my face and burst his tears out.

“Iniwan moko, iniwan moko nang di nag papaalam, nang iwan ka nang walang

dalawang isip,” he said while smiling and tears falling out.

I kept quiet.

“Tell me, did you have fun habang wala ako sa tabi mo? Did you have fun when you celebrate those days withoutme did you even missed me?” he said.

Its not my fault that you chose her instead of me.

When he suddenly hugged me, I don’t know why but my tears fled.

Agad ko siyang tinulak at tumayo.

“ I may be stupidly crazy over you long ago, but not anymore, Rigel Lucerious,” I said and walked out.

Agad akong bumalik at pinunasan ang buong mukha niya at pinalitan ito ng damit, I don’t want to do this but I have to.

I took a pillow and a blanket at nilagay sa kanya.

I quickly took a bath and immediately took my baggages and drove t my school, I need to pass the papers.

“Miss Gonzales, its been a year since I saw you,” my old professor said.

“Oo nga ho, kamusta po?” I said smiling.

“Eto, tumatanda, oh sya sige mauuna nako sayo,” he said and left.

After doing my things I quickly walked out the school and shocked when I saw Rigel standing next to my car.

He looks sober now, good for him.

“Avyanna,” he shouted when he saw me walk back inside the school.

Ayoko ng dramahan. Mabilis akong nag lakad pero wala parin.

He pulled my hand, panting.

“Wag na wag ka nang ulit ulamis, I thought it was a dream seeing and talked to you again, totoo pala yon,” he said referring to what happened earlier.

“Enough, let go of me,” I said at tinapon ang kamay niya, looking at him emotionless.

Agad akong dumiretso sa pag lakad when he hugged me, at binaon ang muka niya sa balikat ko at tuloyang umiyak.

“Wag naman ganto Avy, nag antay akong  dumating ang araw na bumalik ka, sige naman oh, balk na tayo sa dati,” he said crying on my shoulder I was stoned, my whole body turned into a stone.

“Hindi, ayoko, di ganon kadali yon Rigel, di lahat ng anong meron noon ababalik mo ngayon," i said.

“Kahit anong gawin ko malimutan ka lang, pero wala, Avy ikaw lang ang mahal ako, wag mo naman akong pahirapan please na u-ulol nako kakaisip anong pwedeng gawin ko mabalik ka lang, Avy kahit ano gagawin ko, wag lang ganto, kasi potangina mahirap, mahirap ang wala ka sa tabi ko,” he said now hugging me.

“You really want to go back like we used to huh?” I whispered.

“Oo, Avy oo,” he replied.

“Give me time to heal,” I repied and faced right at him.

“A-alis ulit ako, sa states ako gra-graduate, pagka tapos babalik ako, give me time to forget the pain, to forgive you, pero wag kang a-asang babalik ang dating Avy na mahal mo,” I said and held his cheeks.

“Mahirap, mahirap mag hintay, pero ipangako mo Avy, babalik ka mag hi-hintay ako,” he said and kissed my hand.

I smiled.

“Pangako,”

“Avy oh,” Kit gave me a rose after he entered at my room.

“Kanino to?”I asked, looking at the white rose.

“Syempre sakin, ampocha naman kung kay manong guard yan,” he said and looked at me, smiling.

“Oh? For what?” I asked when my phone rang.

Rigel’s calling, again.

“Wait, may tumatawag,” I excused myself and went outside the balcony.

“Rigel,” I said to the phone.

“Hey, what time is your graduation again?” he said my eyes furrowed when he asked what time is my graduation.

Rigel really did wait for me, now im going to graduate and gonna be a college student.

“I don’t know, about 10 am? Why are you asking, about this,” I said looking at the sky,  know gabi na ngayon sa pinas.

“Bawal bang batiin ng good morning ang mahal ko?” he said.

“May sinabi bako? Sige na mag ma-make up pako,” I said and let him turn down the call.

“Ano ulit yon Kit?” I said while smiling but I saw him, looking sad or something.

“Ah, wala, sige pa-pasokin ko na yong mga mag ma-make up sayo,” he said and let the makeup artist enter.

“What a delight, a young couple, reaching both of their dreams, congratulations,” the ake up artist said making both of us  laugh.

“He’s not my boyfriend,” I said now looking at Kit on the mirror, seeing his reaction change.

“Well, you both look good together, the both of you will be perfect together I presume, I hope you’ll end up together,” the make up artist said, making me smile awkwardly.

We finally graduated successfully, likewise salutatorian,  habang ako, the valedictorian.

“Eh? Ano ba yan, ikaw na naman valedictorian Avy,” he said while pouting.

“Palit tao oh, okay lang din sakin,” I said while laughing.

We took pictures, the both of us, enjoying the moment.

“San ka nag mag co-college nyan, Avy?” he sked while the both of us eat ice cream.

“I don’t know, how about you?” I replied looking at him.

“Di ko din alam sayo, basta kung san ka andun din ako,” he said while laughing.

“Ayaw na ayaw mong mawalay ako sayo nuh?” I sad messing his hair up.

“Bakit ayaw mo na ba akong maka sasama?” he said.

“May sinabi ba ako? At bakit takot na takot kang di makasama ako?” I asked and saw his reaction change again.

“Kahit makasama ka nalang ng mas matagal, kahit dun nalang ako lamang, masaya nako,” he said making my eyebrows curl.

“Huh? Bakit? Lamang kanino ka naman la-lamang?” I asked, looking at him while hes looking straightly at the highway.

“Rigel,” he whispered, I quickly looked at the spot Kit where kit stared at.

My eyes grew when I saw Rigel standing infront of us, smiling.

He smiled at me at stretch his arms inviting me to give him a hug, I quickly ran towards him and hugged him.

“Anong ginagawa mo dito?” I said while hugging him.

“Claiming my spoiled princess,” he said while laughing.

He faced me to him and gave me a kiss on my forehead.

But his reaction changed when he looked at Kit.

“Tristan,” he said nodding at it.

“Oh?” Kit answered, nag away ba sila?

“Avy, fly lang ako, kita tayo mamaya ah, bye,” kit said while smiling at me, I just waved my hand at him.

My eyes widened when I realize something.

“Rigel, nakita tayo ni Kit,” I whispered.

“Nakita ang ano?” he replied looking at me.

“Nag hug at ki-niss moko sa forehead ko,” I said.

“Nah, he thinks that we are just a couple, I told him, once,” he said and held my hand.

“Oh? Kelan?” tanong ko ito making me curios.

“Date tayo?” he said and pulled me.

While we are on bus, pansin kong araming naka titig kay Rigel na babae, I glared at them, but they still looked at him.

“Selos na selos cute,” Rigel whispered without looking at me.

“Sayang saya, eh kung iwan ulit kita?” I replied smiling.

“Itago mo'ko sa ilalim ng damit mo,” he said trying to pull my hand.

“Galawan mo Rigel, manyak,” I said.

“Manyak? Hey, di ako nang ma-manyak , ikaw yon, sinong panay habol sakin noon para makahalik, akala mo naman halik na halik lang may halong patibong din naman,” he said smirking.

“Wow, 4 years na yon ah, lasap na lasap ang ala ala?” I said laughing.

“Atleast yong ala ala yong nilalasap ko,” he replied, I punched his shoulder.

“Isang ala manyak na harot pa iiwanan kita,” I said.

“Isang pananakot na mang iiwan ka, bu-buntsin kita” he replied and laughed.

"Gago mo Rigel, pwede ka nang maging joker na manyak alam mo?"

"Ikaw nga pwede na maging nanay," he replied again.

I glared at him and he immediately laughed.
