Chapter Thirteen

After a week sabay na kaming umuwi ni Rigel a pinas, the times aren’t the same back when I was sixteen, kung dati panay laro lang ako sa phone ko, now I can’t even hold it dahil sa mga gawain, I didn’t knew being a college student would be such a pain in the neck.

“Hey, I'm back,” Rigel said as he enter the house, I just gave him a smile and continued reading.

“How’s your day?" I asked, not looking at him.

“Fine how about you?” he replied.

I looked at him and sighed.

“Stressful,” I said and saw him smile.

“Been there done that, want some help?” he said at agad tumingin sa inag sasabay kong gawin, ang mag basa at gumawa ng presentation.

“Yes please,” I pouted.

Not like the old times, Rigel and me didn’t  do anything for the past months, he’s always busy managing the company alone while me, focusing on my pre- law.

“Hey, how about Sunday lets go somewhere else?” Rigel said habang kanya kanya kaming nag babasa sa laptop.

“Sure, Id love that, taposin ko na mga gawain ko para free ako sa Sunday,”  I replied and smiled.

Finally, I’ve been waiting for him to ask me.

After finishing my works and reading I quickly took a bath and took a nap.

Sunday, finally I managed to live a day not  thinking of any stress bugging me.

Habang kumakain  kami ni Rigel he suddenly sighed agad naman akong tumingin nito.

“What happened?” I asked holding his hands.

“Nah, nothing, wanna go to palawan next week?” he asked making my eyes  sparkle.

“Really? Oo naman,” I said.

“Teka bat ka naman biglang nag yaya na pumunta don?” I askdd looking at him that made him laugh.

“Because, its your 21st birthday,” he said making me choke the food I ate.

“Totoo? Teka anong date na ba kasi?” I said and grabbed my phone.

“Gagi, ambilis, Feb 18 na pala ngayon?” I laughed.

“Baka di mo rin ala na 3rd year college ka na ah?” Rigel said and made him laugh.

“Ambilis, Rigel nuh? Mag f-five years na tayo,” I said .

“Di ko akalain, yong gayumang binigay ko sayo gumana,” I said, acting like im crying.

“Oo nga, w-wait what? Gayuma?” he replied.

“Joke joke lang, Rigel, yiee I love you,” I said.

“I love you too,”

Habang nag lalakad kami ni Rigel sa daan we held hands, I don’t know but he didn’t want to bring his car, okay lang din sakin, kasi na miss ko nang mag lakad sa lugar na to.

Tingin ako ng tingin sa bawat sulok na dinadaanan namin, baka may na hindi ako nakitang may nag bago.

That’s when I saw a box sa basurahan ng isang madilim na parte ng isang restaurant.

Ano yon?

“Rigel,” I pulled his hand twice.

“What is it?” he replied.

“Ano yon?” i asked pointing at the box that’s moving.

“Huh? Where?” he asked, parang tanga kung san tumitingin.

“Aish, there kasi,” I said and pointed again.

“Tignan mo,” I said pushing him. 

“No lets not go near that, baka ano pa yan,” he said and continued to walk while holding my hand but I resisted.

“Kung ayaw mo, edi don’t ill be the one who’ll check it,” I said and let go of his hand, but he stopped me.

“Fine, ako na nga,” he said at pina tayo ako sa malayo.

“Pft,” I quietly laughed when I saw Rigel finding a stick to use.

When he finally saw one he slowly opened the box sa sobrang tagal parang horror movie ang tinitignan mo.

“Meow!” I heard a cat meowed when Rigel opened the box.

He sighed and picked up something inside the box.

“It’s a cat,” he said while holding a white furball, with yellow and blue eyes.

My eyes sparkled like I saw a precious treasure.

“Lets keep that!” I said trying to take the cat from him but he was too tall.

“No,” he said, habang tinataas ang kamay niya hawa hawak ang pusa.

“Why?” I said trying to reach for the cat.

“Wala ka nang time ma alaga ng pusa, alam mo yon diba sino mag aalaga nito?” he said.

“Hindi, ikaw ma aalaga, hehe,” I said smiling.

“So pusa ko to?” he said.

“Hindi, pusa ko pero ikaw mag aalaga, ayaw mo nun? Practice yan!” I said, trying to make him believe.

“May ipa-pangalan ka?” he said.

“Oo naman! Wait, uhhmm,” I said thinking.

“Treasure!!” I said while eyes sparkling.

“Dati Gravy pangalan ng pusa mo ngayon Treasure?” he said, laughing.

“Ay bakit? Yong pangalan ng pusa mo ano? Diba tweety bird at black? Black daw pero puti yong pusa tsaka ang cute kaya ng treasure, not like yours,” I said and reached for the cat.

“Fine, fine, di mo naman kailangan mang ano ng mga dating pusa ko,” he said and gave me the cat.

“Hii, baby treasure,” I said and was about to kiss the cat when Rigel covered my lips bago makiss ang pusa.

“That cat is still dirty you know,” he said  and pulled me.

“San tayo pu-punta di dyan daan pa uwi ah,” I said while letting him pull me.

“Basta,”

And finally we stopped righ at a pet salon.

“Welcome po,” the girl said while sitting.

“Take care of this cat, we’ll be back,” he said and put treasure down and held my hand again.

“Lets buy your cat what she needs,” he said while entering a another shop filed with pet things.

“Are you ready?” Rigel asked, while holding his own baggages, where on our way to palawan.

“Yeah, how about Treasure? Bawal daw pets,” I asked while looking at our cat sleeping on her own bed.

“Sinong kaibigan mong pwedeng iwanan ng pusa?” he asked.

“Wala eh, si Xali busy ata, ah oo!” I pointed at him looking at me like he’s thinking of what on earth happened to me.

“Si Kit,” I said and smiled.

I saw him grinned, and nod.

“Okay, pack Treasure’s Things, I’ll back her bed and food,” I said at agad ko nang kinuha ang mga toothbrush at iba pang gamit ni Treasure.

“Meow,” Treasure looked at us while packing her stuff.

“Your cat thinks that we’ll banning her out,” Rigel said while laughing.

“Treasure, baby, mommy and daddy’s going somewhere okay? Be a good girl there okay?”I said looking at her, now sleeping.

Matapos naming ihatid si Treasure kila Kit agad na kaming nag tungo sa airport.

We just slept for the whole flight.

“Avy, wake up, were here,” My eyes opened when Rigel woke me.

“Already?” I said while stretching my arms.

“Tara,” he lend his hand and sabay kaming lumabas.

“Do you want to buy something? Sa-sakay pa tayo ng yatch  pa punta don Avy,” Rigel said while nag lalakad pa kami sa Airport.

“Okay, let’s grab pizza and burgers, I’m craving for it,” I said while looking at him finding pizza and burgers.

While looking at the sea habang tumatakbo ang yatch I  craved for sea foods.

Gosh, malapit na siguro akong magkaroon ng visit, kaya panay crave ako.

“Finally,” I said when we arrived.

“Rigel, let’s have dinner na,” I said while entering the hotel.

“It’s just 4 pm dinner agad?” he said and laughed.

“Edi snack,” I said at tinarayan Ito.

“Fine, what do you want?” he asked bitbit ang bag ko, I don’t want to let the kuya’s take my bag, it’s from my mom pa kasi.

“Seafoods,” diretsong sagot ko.

While waiting for the food Rigel looked at a mini bar.

“Avy, how about we get some drink after dinner?” he asked, gesturing me to look at the mini bar.

“Sure, bet ko yan, bukas nalang tayo mag swim,” I said.

After eating diretso kaming pumunta sa mini bar na yon, when I heard a guy talking na pumunta daw sila sa rooftop, kasi may bar and pool din don.

I quickly took Rigel’s hand and told him.

“Yeah, I know,” he said matapos kong sabihin yon.

“Then why didn’t you tell me earlier?” I said planning to change ng swimsuit.

“Avy, maraming umiinom don,” he said.

“Natural,” I replied.

“Na lalaki, tapos may pool,” he said again.

“Oo Naman, I know,” I replied again.

“Oh, sabihin mo sakin kelan ako pumayag na mag swimsuit ka na halos lalaki ang andun?” he said crossing his arms.

“Andun ka naman eh,” I said winking at him.

Agad na akong nag palit ng swimsuit, at pinatungan na lang ito ng isang ripped shorts and a denim jacket, while si Rigel naka shorts and navy blue polo.

Rigel ordered tequila, alam kong tequila pinili niya para kaunti lang i-inomin ko, but he didn’t know that Kit taught me how to drink tequila with the shots na kaya ko.

“Oy, Avy, Tama na yan,” he said trying to pull my glass.

This is the 10th glass, si Rigel din but he still looked sobber, while ako? Umiikot na ang paningin.

“Who taught you that? Bat Alam mo yan?” he said, while kumuha ako ng asin at kalamansi.

“Si Kit, akala mo ah! Inu-uto moko, ano ka shunga, dinidiretso mong iniinom yong tequila? Tapos pag di ako nakatingin kukuha ka ng asin at kalamansi?” I said at agad tinarayan Ito.

“Damn you, Tristan,” dinig kong wika nito habang ako ay kumuha na naman.

After drinking, ay halos hindi nako makatayo sa sarili ko, hindi ko alam kung naka ilan nako ng baso.

“Damn, your wasted,” I heard Rigel said habang karga karga ako.

“Inu-uto moko eh,” I said laughing.

“Tsaka di ako lasing, mga 40% lang,” I said still laughing.

“Damn, it’s hot in here,” wika ni Rigel matapos akong i-upo.

Agad niyang binuksan ang air-condition at tinanggal ang polo niya sa harap ko.

Marahan akong nilagay ang isang kamay ko sa likod ko at ang Isa sa dibdib ko at tumayo.

“Sasageyo! Sasageyo! Shinzou wo sasageyo! Subete no gisei was Ima kono toki no tame ni!

Sasageyo! Sasageyo! Shinzou wo sasageyo! Susumu beki Mirai wo wo Sino the de kirirake!” kanta ko habang naka tayo ng matuwid.

“What are you doing?” Rigel said at agad akong inupo ulit.

“May nakita akong titan, Rigel,” I said laughing.

“Huh? What on earth? Asan?” he ask.

“Yan! Malaki yan no!” I giggled pointing at the middle of his shorts, malaki siya haha!

“Goodness gracious,” wika nito habang minamasahe ulo.

“Rigel, oy!” tawag ko nito.

“What?” sagot nito.

“Mahal Kita,” I said laughing.

I was about to stand up and hug him, when my eyes started to close by his own.
