Lillian's POV

Losing my daughter is my biggest fear.

That will be my death.

"Mommy where are we going?" Amari curiously asked while watching me pack our things.

I stopped what I was doing and looked at her. She looked confused so I smiled at her and gently caressed her face. "Somewhere far Amari,"

Her forehead creased and became even more confused. "How about Daddy?"

I saw sadness cross her face when she remembered her father. I don't want to do this either but I have to.

I know Marcus can easily get Amari's custody because he has money and power. I can't compete with him.

"I'm sorry my love,"

Carrying a bag filled with clothes and a small amount of money I stepped out of the room with Amari, ready to leave.

But upon opening the main door of our apartment I saw Marcus standing outside.

His gaze lingered on me and Amari then shifted to the bag I was carrying.

"You're leaving?" his voice broke upon asking that question.
