Lillian's POV

I can feel my hands getting cold as I look at Alice.

She smiled at me but I couldn't smile back.

I fell silent because guilt washed over me.

"Mommy I'm done!"

Our silence broke off when Amari stepped out of the bathroom.

"Hi Mommy Alice," she happily called Alice.

Alice smiled at Amari then opened her arms widely asking for a hug.

Amari ran towards Alice and hugged her tightly.

"I brought you something," Alice happily uttered while looking at Amari.

I saw how my daughter's eyes glistened with happiness. She looks happy and excited.

"What is it Mommy Alice?" she politely asked.

Alice stood up and then held Amari's hand as she guided my daughter towards the bed.

When Amari's eyes landed on the paper bag she looked at Alice with a huge smile plastered on her face.

"Is that for me?" Alice chuckled and then nodded her head.

"Yeah those are for you," she said.
