Marcus's POV

She stiffened when I held her. Her eyes are wide open as she looked at me.

"Smile Lillian," I whispered before turning my head in front to face the camera.

After taking a shot Lillian forcefully removed my hold on her waist and hurriedly stepped out of the stage.

I smiled as I watched her taking heavy steps towards Alexander...her husband.

"Congratulations Mr Sullivan," my eyes directed on Lillian, turned to the host when I heard him speak.

"Thank you," I said as I took his hand and stepped out of the stage carrying the painting.

I headed towards my table...a few steps away from Lillian.

I always caught her stealing glances on my side while Alexander looked at me intently with his eyes filled with anger.

I have no idea what is going on in front. It feels like we created our world and none of them can notice the tension between us.

"Thank you for participating in this event. We promise that the profit that we have gathered will be put to good use,"
