Chapter 73

Lillian's POV

I can no longer see them but I am still standing at the same place...not moving.

When I felt my daughter tapping my cheeks I turned my head on her and smiled.

"Let's go?" I asked.

Amari looked at me intently then after a while she started doing sign language asking me what was wrong.

I shook my head and gently caress her cheeks. "Nothing my love," I responded but Amari still looked at me with her eyes filled with worry.

'The man that you are painting, it was him right Mom?'

I felt my hands getting cold when I heard her question.

I am making a portrait of Marcus's face and Amari sometimes saw me paint his feature on the canvas but it is not yet finished. I have only drawn half of his face and I have no idea if I will finish that painting. I never thought that Amari would recognize Marcus's face by just seeing half of it.

"He's Mommy's good friend, my love,"

Amari looked at me intently as if studying my every feature.

'They why did he ignore us?'

I felt my chest tightene
