Lillian's POV

When he fell silent I already know his answer and that made me feel bitter.

Why am I expecting him to help when I am the reason for all his suffering?

I left him when he needed me so who am I to ask for his help now?

I harshly wiped my tears and let out a deep breath to calm myself. "Dad isn't here. He flew to Singapore a week ago to attend an important meeting, I have no idea when he will come back,"

Marcus stared at my face intently and it looks like he no longer cares for my father. All I can see in his eyes is concern.

"Where's your husband?" he asked anger evident in his tone.

"He left to meet someone,"

His jaw clenched as he looked at me darkly. I saw anger in his eyes and I have no idea if that is for me.

Instead of dealing with him, I signalled the guard to take him away and this time he just let them drag him away.
