Chapter 10— Frustration

“I'm not interested in meeting with you in any way,” I texted the number in rage before I hit the block button.

It was just one contract Calvin got for me, why's she so pissed about it?

My phone buzzed and I reached for it hurriedly worried a number could text me even after I blocked them before I saw it was someone else. Ariana.

“I'm on my way,” I screamed as I typed before rushing out of my office. It was the day of meeting her and I have been looking forward to it for days now.

Reaching the parking lot, I paused. Would I be calling Brandon to take me? No. What if I have a discussion with Ariana and he hangs around to hear? I couldn't let that happen.

Immediately, I was boarding a cab and minutes after I had reached the restaurant holding onto my handbag that contained the money she asked for.
