Cora's POV

I stared down at my wrist, the bracelet sitting pretty on my right wrist since my left was still slightly injured.

A 500,000 piece of jewelry was on me. How'd that even happen? And he indirectly said he wasn't going to get it. What changed his mind?

“So you actually do believe in romance novels then,” I muttered to Calvin who sat beside me. We were on our way to the dinner his mum hosted and Calvin turned to me but didn't utter a word.
