Broken promises

In a week, Sophia was married to Harper. She did not say anything, she did not object. After the marriage, her father had to flew to another country for the transplant and now she was all alone.

She was sitting in the room when she saw Harper's car entering the house. She did not see him from past two days since they got married.

The door opened and she heard Harper entering the room. Seeing her sitting near the window, Harper's heart ached. He walked towards her and sat on the floor near her but she did not look at him.

"Sophie...

did you eat?"

He asked her who did not look at him.

"Sophie."

This time she looked at him with blank expressions.

"Why don't you get ready and we can go out for dinner?"

"Why don't you leave me alone? You wanted to marry me and you succeeded. Now what else you want?"

She asked him in a broken tone who lifted his hand and gently put it on her cheek.

"Sophie, I never wanted to hurt you."

"But you did."

"It was a mistake. When I approached you I did not want
