Broken promises.

"You all can leave early today. The boss is coming to check the building and you all can have half day off."

The supervisor told everyone while Sophia was happy. She could go home and take some sleep now.

She finished her work and was sitting at the side of the pathway when a car stopped the building. The people were arriving to check the building and it means that they can leave now.

She sat outside and unwrapped the sandwich. She took a bite and chewed it slowly while wiping the sweat from her forehead.

Six months passed and she was going to be jobless soon again but she was waiting for the supervisor who asked her to wait for him.

She was not able to eat the sandwich when the supervisor called her. She put the half eaten sandwich and went towards him who was talking to a man.

"She is Sophia."

"She looks weak. I don't think she can do it."

The other man scanned her and rejected her on the spot while teg supervisor chuckled.

"Come on. Do it for me. Moreover, she is very ahrd working.
