Chapter 38: Couldn't ignore

LEAH’S POV

“Uncle… you and I have the same eyes!”

Bella’s innocent voice echoed throughout the room, but her words were like bolts of lightning striking me. Then I saw how Calvin and Clyde also turned to look at Brixton, their expression mirroring Bella’s curiosity.

As for me, my heart sank. For a moment, I felt like the world has stopped spinning. The air seemed to left my lungs as I find it hard to breathe. Bella’s question hung in the air, and silence enveloped the whole room for a few seconds. It was suffocating…
