Chapter seven(Sonia is his girlfriend)
Sapphire's Point Of View: I got dressed in a black skirt and tucked in white shirt with black corporate heels. I let my beautiful wavy black hair cascade down my back. I got out of the house, bading mum goodbye, pretending as if nothing just happened a few minutes ago. I stopped a taxi and boarded it. After a few minutes’ ride, we arrived at my new workplace; Lanhard Luxe headquarters. The building never failed to amaze me each time I set my gaze on it. I walked in, my black heels clicking against the marble floors as I headed towards the building. I entered and was welcomed with the reception. “Good morning, Sonia." I said, grinning as I walked towards the elevator. The receptionist immediately raised her gaze from the screen before her, to look at me. She threw me a nasty glare but as soon as she noticed my eyes on her, her glare melted into a sweet but forced smile. Okay, strange. I wasn't in the mood for haters, neither was I in the mood to find out what her problem was. Somehow, I still haven't seemed to get over the tense conversation I heard with Mum earlier. I wished I could get my mind off it but the pain never stopped thumping in a corner of my heart. “Good morning!" Her bright voice jolted me back to reality. Without turning to look at her again, I nodded. I pushed the elevator's button, making the doors slide apart to open for me. I stepped in and pushed the button to go to the fourth floor. The door slid apart again and I stepped out, greeting every worker with a smile through their transparent windows. I made my way down the passage to Landon's office. I knocked before pushing the door open. Landon was seated at the back of his desk, looking into his MacBook. I pushed the door behind me. I walked to the desk, placing my bag on it. “Good morning, sir." I greeted. He raised his gaze from the screen, "Morning, darling.”. A blush crept on my cheeks as I grabbed my seat and pushed it to his side of the desk to settle right beside him. I lowered my body to sit, staring into the MacBook on the brown mahogany desk. He stretched out his hand, demanding for mine. I placed my hand in his. He stared at it before placing it back on the desk. “I was just making sure you didn't take off the ring." He clarified. I nodded. "I see,”. He minimized the document he was reading on his MacBook before going into some photos. He clicked on one of them. An elegant white dress displayed on the screen and a gasp escaped my lips. “You got this for me?" I asked, staring at the screen in absolute adoration. “Yeah. Do you like it?" He asked. "Like?” I nudged him, "Are you freaking kidding me?! I love it, Land-". He cut me off, “Don't call me Landon at work. Call me sir or darling. I'm your fiance now, hun.” He said, his voice not failing to melt my heart as usual. I whimpered dreamly. “Bend me over and fuck me.". He laughed, “Come on.". “I can't wait till our wedding. I can't wait to wear that dress.”. “mhmmn, you'd look great in it.” "Of course, I'd look great in a great dress. Absolutely.” I grinned. There I was, look at me, pushing aside my worries for a man I didn't even know. Oh, what a shame. How could I do this to Tyler! I was heartle- No, I wouldn't call this heartless, I loved my job. Right! I loved my job! I was only doing this to be a great personal assistant! Besides, I needed this for my mafia family since I needed the special mafia family asset which I would be getting soon when I become 24 in about four months. The door slammed open, revealing Sonia. She gave me the same nasty glare after noticing the grin on my face that immediately melted after spotting her. Landon's stare traveled to Sonia. “Hey, there, Landon. You have a visitor, it's May, your previous PA.” Sonia said, walking into the office as a sly smirk appeared on her face. She seemed to be cooking something crazy in her mind. Oh, and look, she calls him Landon also huh?! Anger brewed in my head as I stared at her. I prayed it wasn't what it seemed to be. Landon banged his hand on the desk, springing up immediately as he frowned at her. “How many times will I tell you to never call me that?! We're at work!" He yelled, obviously out of control. Well, it is what it is. "Come on, darling. Don't pretend like we don't have something special between us. Oh, is it because of your new personal assistant? She doesn't have to be oblivious. I know I said I wanted a secret relationship and thanks for keeping my wants your top priority, daddy, but I don't want that anymore. Tell her who I am and let her stay in her lane, daddy.”. Daddy!!!! Are you fucking shitting me?! I wanted to stand but I sat back down when I was halfway up, I realized that Landon and I weren't in an actual relationship and she was probably his girlfriend so it was pretty better to mind my business and show some ‘respect’ to his actual girlfriend. “You are fired!" Landon roared, earning a scoff from the retarded bitch. “Fired? We both know you can't fire me. Remember, you promised to put a ring on this finger today after work, you got me my ring yesterday, didn't you?” She said, displaying her idle fingers. I fought the urge to burst into laughter. She seemed pained in the ass. “I aborted eleven babies for you, Landon. We've been in a three years relationship and you fucking screw me every single day, so get this bitch out of this place and explain to me what's going on. You must be pretending for business purposes, obviously.” She added. Landon still didn't say a word, he only crossed his arms, anger evident in his blue eyes that already darkened with fury. They now glimmered like the stormy sky. “I’m pregnant for you, Landon and you know it! You made me choose the perfect wedding dress last night for our upcoming wedding! Where is the fucking ring?!” She said, tears beginning to collect in her eyes. Shit! Now, this was nothing close to funny. My fellow female has been played. Landon immediately grabbed my wrist and raised my hand, making the ring flash under the influence of the beaming sun rays that streaked in through the windows. Her lips parted as her hand flew to her mouth. The tears finally dropped silently.Chapter eight(distance from him)Sapphire's Point Of View:Her lips parted as her hand flew to her mouth. The tears finally dropped silently.“L-land- my ri-ng?" She stuttered, shaking in betrayal.“Now get out of my office!" Landon shouted, banging his hand on the desk. I saw the pain in Sonia's eyes and immediately felt sorry for her, even though I didn't really know what heartbreak felt like because Tyler was the only man I loved dearly enough to break my heart but he never dared to break my heart.“But… Landon, I love you and you- love me too. What went wrong?....is. Is it because of her? I- I swear I…is this a prank?” She asked, years flowing out of her eyes uncontrollably.“I said. Get. Out. Of. My. Office. Now!!” He yelled, gritting his teeth. She flinched, weeping before scrambling her way out of the office reluctantly.I looked down at my lap, not saying anything.“You okay?" He asked.Excuse me! How do you expect me to be okay after you just humiliated a human like that. A
Chapter nine(I choose….)Sapphire's Point Of View:I looked to my left, looking into a quieter and darker road. For some reason, I heard this tiny voice in my head, 'Go, Sapphire.’. what the fuck?!I gladly followed the voice and went into the road that was as silent, dark and empty as a graveyard. As I walked in, I encountered multiple abandoned buildings.I saw a dimly lit space ahead, it was an opened warehouse. I entered the silent warehouse. It was so silent that my breath echoed in the space. But at least it was lit.A mysterious man emerged from the shadows. He had jet black hair that complimented his midnight blue eyes. His shoulders were broad, making him look more muscular than he actually was.He was quite tall with jaw-dropping looks, not just his looks were jaw-dropping, his enchanting eyes were manipulative. He wore black long leather jacket that reached his knees, they had long strips by the waist. Compliment with a black shirt, and black pants. He steadily approached
Chapter ten(terms and conditions)Sapphire's Point Of View:“I choose…..”. I sighed, rethinking my decision. I couldn't, I just couldn't choose. It was the toughest decision of my life. I swallowed hard as I thought about it.I didn't know who to choose. Who deserved my trust, just who? How would I know when I basically knew literally nothing about either of them! The only thing that makes a difference is I already had sex with one of them.“I choose….. Landon.” I breathed out.I hoped I wouldn't regret my decision later on but I knew Landon and even though I knew he was toxic, it was better to go with him right? Rather than someone I barely knew, someone who was claiming to be the good guy and painting Landon as a bad guy.Yes, Landon was a bad guy, I could tell. But the devil you know is better than the angel you do not know right?I knew Landon would be able to protect me and those I care about but I didn't know this man’s capabilities. And although I knew my love life was at risk
Chapter eleven (date with Tyler)Sapphire's Point Of View:“It seems it's time to open those legs for your fiance.” He whispered coldly.I shook my head. “No, no, no. You can't do that! You can't force me to have sex with you when I'm not willing to. First thing tomorrow, we go meet your lawyer to erase that from the papers. It's a contract, it should be no sex instead. I'm not cheating with my boyfriend again.”."Your boyfriend or your fiance, who is more important.".I sighed, squeezing my eyes shut. “Don't get into my head. I am not letting you have sex with me.”."And if I say no?”."I can sue you for sexual assault, don't play silly games with me.” I said, wondering where I got such courage from. But yeah, I might have had sex with him before or allowed other shit but I wasn't myself then.I'm Sapphire, a baddie and I will not let a man use me like a slut like his other ladies.I grabbed my bag, “I'm sorry, sir. This meeting is going in a wild direction and I'm sorry but I have t
Chapter eleven(who's that?)Sapphire's Point Of View:I walked into his spread arms, grinning as I inhaled his astonishing aroma.“Babe." I called, dissolving in his arms. He planted a kiss on top of my head, “Yes, honey. I know you miss me. I know you do, darling. I miss you as well.”.His words made my smile become wilder.“Love birds!" Mum's voice interrupted from behind me. Of course, as usual, the fun killer.I broke the hug, turning to face her. I let out a scoff before turning to Tyler again. He gave Mum a small smile before stretching forth his arm for me. I linked arms with him, following his lead to the exit.We soon arrived at a coffee shop, settling at our table. We both got a cup of coffee each, drinking slowly as we stared at each other, waiting for one of us to say something.Tyler cleared his throat before finally breaking the silence, “I really missed you and I wanted to hang out with you but the predominant reason I asked you to hang out with me, Sapphire, is general
Chapter 12(gala)Sapphire's Point Of View:“Who’s that?” he asked.“Who?" I asked before pressing my lips into a thin line, hoping it wasn't what it seemed to be.“Who?" He asked me back. The cat got my tongue. “It's Tiara." I lied, faking a smile.“Your fiance?" He said.My smile wavered, "I…it's just a little game we're playing and I was dared to do that. Don't bother, you trust me right? I don't become a lesbian, Tyler.”."Oh. I see. You should call her then. She seems to need you. Call her, I'd also love to speak with her. It's been a while you know and besides, I didn't send her greetings on her birthday.” He spoke.I pressed my lips into a thin line again, grabbing my phone from the table before opening Landon's text.'Where are you? Can we go on a date?’ I saw his message.'No, fiance. I'm on a date with my boyfriend. Besides, those fake feelings should also go on holiday on weekends, please. You just got me in trouble.’.I waited for a while then he replied, 'We'll be attendin
Chapter fourteen (it's over)Sapphire's Point of view:'BAM!’ My head hit against the airbag. I breathed heavily, raising my gaze as I pushed back the airbag. “Are you okay?!" Tyler asked. I nodded, sighing.I returned my gaze to the front of the car, luckily for us, our car didn't hit the truck. We were safe. The airbag only came out due to the sharp brakes.Pedestrians were on the road side, staring in shock.I heard a knock on the window of the car. I slowly rolled it down as I saw two cops looking in through the window.I raked my fingers through my hair, making the scattered strands slick back.“Sir, ma'am. We're sorry, but sir, License and registration, please. Do you know why we're here?"“Yes, cop, we understand. We were chasing a car. We're sorry, it'll never happen again.” I apologized. The second cop took over, "Chasing a car? At that speed? You're lucky you didn't collide with that truck. You were doing 80 in a 40 zone."."Officer, it-”.Tyler cut me off, "I know, officer
Chapter fifteen(The ride)Sapphire's Point Of View:My heart squeezed in my chest.“It's over.” He stated. What?!"Tyler? Really? Just a little misunderstanding and you're ending a four year relationship?!” I raised my voice. He didn't respond or spare me a glance.“I should have known. I made a big mistake. How did I even expect such a pretender to put a ring on this finger? I wasted precious years of my life with you and I now regret every second!” I spat. He still didn't respond. I grabbed my bag and exited the car.“Are you going with me to the fucking gala or not?!" He shouted.Fucking fuck him!As I walked down the road, fighting back my tears, I could still feel his eyes on me but I didn't bother looking back, I didn't want him to realize I actually still cared.A midnight blue car slowed down by my side as I walked, ignoring it.“Hey there, pretty. Need a ride?" I heard a guy's voice from inside the car.I didn't bother looking at his face as I didn't want him to notice my te
††032††Jasmine's Point Of View:Damon ran out of the booth.“Emergency!!" He shouted. “Someone is in there, he's not breathing!" He shouted again.Everyone gasped. "Did he kill him?” The murmurs increased.Ah, yes, just what I wanted to hear. Music to my ears.As the murmurs increased and everyone began to have their own belief and choose sides, the emergency of the college came with a stretcher, but the murmurs didn't stop. What we heard next was sirens, they were loud and clear.Damon's face looked confused as he spotted the cops who walked in next. A snitch must have called the cops. The cops walked towards Damon and looked at Dylan's dead body for a while before speaking with Damon, saying they would have to lock him up for the meantime. He tried arguing and refusing but that only made him look guilty. They took him away even though he was ranting and refusing. In the very end, everyone still kept murmuring and I had no choice but to leave. In the next few days, Damon was release
††031††Jasmine's Point Of View:I climbed back into the car, looking directly at the chauffeur through the rear view, our eyes meeting.I crossed my arms, not knowing how I should feel about being busted. I felt like it was a useless plan anyway, it wasn't necessary to make him jealous in this particular way.But at the same time, I was mad that my plan didn't work out just the way I planned it. It was embarrassing for me to have to beg her and get her forgiveness for trying to claim what isn't mine in the first place.“Return us to the hotel." I commanded the chauffeur. He nodded immediately, driving off slowly until we arrived at the hotel. I got out of the car, entering the hotel and making my way into my suite.I let out a sigh, my back hitting the bed. I remained in the position, not knowing when I fell into a deep slumber. It was the buzz of my phone on the bed that woke me up. I squinted my eyes, reaching for the phone and looking at the screen closely to look at the time.It
††030††“Hey, you're back." The man said as he flashed me a smile. "I thought you left the child and we've been planning to put them up for adoption actually.”I nodded, forcing a smile as I didn't even know what to say.“If I may ask, what made you leave that day? I mean you just had a surgery and you left straight up which was bad for your health at that moment in time.”I let out a sigh, shaking my head. "I'm really sorry. Can I just get to the next step now? I just want to do this fast and get out of here as soon as possible. I'm sorry if that actually sounded rude but I had no better way to put it. I just don't have all the time in the world.”He nodded. "I understand. Let me go get the papers for you to sign and claim your kids back since we were initially planning to out them up for adoption after proper maturity,”I nodded, watching him get out of his seat and walk out of the office.I sat there, staring at nothing exactly. In no time, he returned, but without any files in his
††029††Jasmine's Point Of View:"You want your child, huh?" I smirked. “So that's all you care about? That's not going to be a problem, the problem is I'm not giving you the child” I scoffed. He looked at me, pleading with his eyes but I couldn't care less.I jerked my hand away from him, turning to leave immediately with my personal bodyguards. We got outside the place and the shielded me from the approaching fans. Just as I was about to get in the car, I spotted Damon approaching on his wheelchair. I halted, looking directly at him even though this was not the best time for this.I swallowed, narrowing my eyes at him.He got to where my car was but my bodyguards didn't let him get close to me.He looked at me, trying to get past the bodyguard who didn't move an inch.“Let's have a conversation," he said, almost as if he was pleading.I shook my head. "No.” I simply responded. He looked me in the eye. “Why have you been ignoring my calls and everything? You've been ignoring me recen
††028††Jasmine's Point Of View:I began to stay at Dad's place as I couldn't return to Damon's home again. I couldn't stay with someone like him again under the same roof. It was like sleeping in the same room with a serpent, but luckily for me, I discovered the serpent even before he could consider biting me.I need not to tell him right in the face that it was over and I discovered all his schemes for him to know that I was no longer stupid. It took me nothing. Absolutely nothing. And he understithat his plans have been ruined. He tried explaining countless times, obviously to feed me lies and ensure his plan still works one way or the other, but I wasn't going to fall for the same trick twice so I didn't even give him the opportunity to get to me.I appreciated his help so far in helping me build a name in the modelling industry, but at the same time, he could have made it clear if he only wanted to do me a favor. And he could have also made it clear if he was using me. If he ment
††027††Dmitri's Point Of View:I just couldn't believe she could have done this to me. I understood that she hated me, but despite the hatred, I didn't see the need to do this to me.She knew well that my health was on its last legs and I was in pain. No one would be heartless enough to do this to their own father because he put them up for adoption.I thought I heard her mention that it was only an assignment, but that didn't matter.A lot of things have been happening recently and I thought life was only against my wife and I. I never knew it was all orchestrated by my own daughter who I already apologized to. I even went as far as arranging a letter for her, thinking she would understand and forgive me, only for her to send people to burn down my house, the place I've been stuck for months now even though I had more mansions. My health just didn't permit me to be moved here and there anymore. I only remained in one place, traveling from one place to another was stressful for me.B
††026††Jasmine's Point Of View:As I cracked the door open, I heard a high-pitched moan flowing out from inside the room. The moan continued, becoming louder and louder and what followed was the sound of meat slapping against each other.I swallowed, peeking into the mansion to get a glimpse of whatever was going on in the house. Just then, I was met with the shock of my life. There was Damon, thrusting into a woman with pull force and pulling out immediately, grinding in and out of her. That was none of my business, but what shocked me the most was that he was fucking standing which means he…. he was never actually crippled.Damon was able all these while? But he was only hiding it?A gasp fought to escape my throat, but I cupped my mouth immediately, silencing the gasp. I didn't realize tears were welling up in my eyes until it began to prick my iris so badly that I had to blink multiple times to hold back the tears.I felt my heart squeeze in my chest. I didn't know what hurt the
††025††Jasmine's Point Of View:“Where the hell do you think you're going?” The security men asked.I scoffed. “What do you mean?"“You haven't paid for the cleaning if all these. You need to pay the money we would give to our cleaners to clean this mess.”"Do I look like the reason this place was set on fire? I'm sure he was paying several thousands for this place in a year, so why can't you guys take care of little maintenance like this?” I asked, frowning."This isn't a little maintenance. This is a whole lot,”“The money he paid for this year hasn't been exhausted or has it? The year isn't over yet so use the rest. Thank you.” I responded, shoving them out of the way before walking out.I went out of the building and went straight out if the estate the into the car.“Where are we going to, miss?" Rufus asked, tilting his head to look at me.I fastened my seatbelt. “The headquarters. I have something to do there.”"Alright then.” He responded, starting the car and driving away.In
††024††Jasmine's Point Of View:After the man called the firefighters, they arrived in no time with their truck and equipment. As they trooped into the estate, I went in with them too, climbing on their truck with them and allowing them to carry me and the security men back to the burning house. They stepped out of the truck, gesturing for us to get down and move back, away from the fire and allow them to do their job.I swallowed, reluctantly going back as I watched them extinguish the first starting from the gate to cool it down. They then got closer to the gates, breaking it open. They then went in, extinguishing the fire of the whole mansion slowly and steadily until the whole house was safe. The two security men held me back as I tried to run inside, yelling and shouting to go search the mansion myself and see if my father was in the building.I fought hard to escape their grip. But all my attempts were futile as they held me even tighter.“Let me go!” I screamed, but they didn'
