The lost Mate!

Carly's gaze reverted down from where the spokesman stood down to the Alpha’s throne. 

Her gaze beamed on his eyes, they were as cool as the waters of an ocean, black lashes feathering his high cheekbones. Briefly, she swept her gaze on his high frame, charming, as usual, of the deep tug of emotions that she hadn’t previously experienced for any man, not even for Ryder, her boyfriend.

“Not guilty?” Alpha Oswald queried, his brows quivering in amusement at the lady’s confidence.

 Carly’s face darkened in fear as she felt sweat cascading down her face. 

“Yes, Alpha Oswald.” 

Alpha Oswald inhaled with air wafting into his nostrils as an odd sensation overcame him, he glared down from the platform where he sat on the throne with his Luna, Nikita, by his side and his beta, Josh, at the other.

The view of Carly made his eyes flash a series of colors, his muscles twitching, trying to get him to move.

An unknown intensity pumped into his veins ceaselessly as he sat. The more he tried to overcome it, the harder it came.

A groan escaped his lips, forcing him to take a step from his throne. His once static expression was now shattered and in place, anger and frustration.

He felt his wolf whimpering in loss, and anger boiling in his veins for not acting quickly.

“Mate!!!” His wolf called as his head shook in shock as his fixated gaze ran on Carly, the ‘seducer’ who was stunningly beautiful with charming blue eyes and a seducing body figure.

“Are you okay?” Nikita inquired, flinging her head in his direction.

“Yes I am, it’s nothing,” He lied.

The intensity was heated, giving him a migraine, one that only occurred to every wolf when they just found their mate.

His hands found a way to his head, creating a pattern as he ran them through his hair repeatedly.

The erratic beatings of his heart now clouded my ears and senses, he sighed withholding the excruciating pain he was feeling.

“Tabitha, how did you find out your mate had a girlfriend?” Luna Nikita queried.

“My mate...” Tabitha was saying. 

“Who is your mate?” Alpha Oswald’s voice came out slowly with an equal amount of emphasis placed on every word he said.

“I am, my Alpha,” Ryder’s voice came out as his brows flew up.

“So now that you’re all complete now, may I hear from you Carly Hayes,” Alpha Oswald’s voice came again.

“Yes, my Alpha,” Carly mused, clearing her throat as she was about to narrate her encounter with Ryder which had happened some months ago.

“Some months ago, Ryder came to me in a nightclub and asked me out, lying to me he was unmated and then I believed him and our relationship commenced,” She began.

“And that was how everything started my Alpha," Carly explained with darting eyes.

“Is that all you know?” He asked.

“That is all I know, my Alpha.” Carly curtseyed.

“And you Tabitha,” He beckoned at Tabitha who also curtseyed in greeting.

“How did you come to find out that he cheated on you with Carly?” Alpha Oswald asked.

“Well, I caught them together at a nightclub and confronted Carly who adamantly stood on the fact that she loved him and he did the same to her, then, I got furious and reported the case some days ago after finding out that Carly was also a member of the pack,” Tabitha explained.

“So my judgment on this case is that,” His voice was clear and redefined with a hint of authority laced in it.

Silence engulfed the atmosphere as tension surged into it, and anticipation surged into the tense atmosphere as all the pack members awaited the Alpha’s reply.

“Ryder is sentenced to 1 year of working as a slave in the pack house for being promiscuous and having the flirtatious attitude any mated man in this pack shouldn’t possess,” He prodded.

“As men we should be able to control our body, to be able to navigate away from temptation is every mated wolf’s duty.”

“And you, Carly,” His voice said as his heart increased pace, he glared at Carly whose face was now etched in horror as she shivered on the spot.

“And you Carly Hayes, I Alpha Oswald, of eclipse pack, hereby pronounce you my concubine.”

“What?” Carly said with a quizzical look and a gasp.

People started shouting in the courtroom, they couldn't process what Alpha Oswald just said.

“Why will he make her his concubine even after that judgment?” A voice shouted in the courtroom.

“Even when Luna is right there!” Another voice exclaimed.

“That harlot just seduced Alpha Oswald. How was she able to do it in that kind of situation?” Another Voice shouted.

People started shouting without giving Alpha Oswald any respect he deserves.

“Quiet!” Alpha Oswald shouted.

Alpha Oswald slams his fist on the table, with throbbing veins visible on his neck, pointing his finger in Carly's direction and there is total silence in the courtroom.

He stands up from his feet and altered what no one can ever expect from him, with his chest out.

“I will repeat myself that I, Alpha Oswald, make you, Carly Hayes, my concubine because you are my mate!” Alpha said authoritatively, maintaining eye contact with Carly.

“Mate?” Carly exclaimed, with her hands over her mouth.

Carly stepped back, looking at Alpha Oswald with wide eyes, she twisted her mouth to talk but nothing came out. Adrenaline pumped into her system as her fears heightened more, she could feel her consciousness waning as she dabbled in her thoughts, her legs fidgeting as fear channeled through her.

Nikita, the Luna of the Eclipse pack, couldn't believe what the Alpha just said.

“How can he find his mate after everything I and Alpha Tyler did? Am I dreaming?” Luna Nikita thought to herself with a sore expression on her face.

“I need to do something real fast, I can't just sit down here,” Nikita said to herself again.
