Carly turned slowly to see who it was that had come to her rescue. She saw a man with a broad chest and muscles. She was so relieved that help had come for her. She didn't know who it was but she was glad someone had come mainly because of Kihara

The man moved closer to her and simply pulled her away from the man's grip. They were too shocked to first move until one of the men roared at him

"What's your problem?! Who the hell do you think you are to stop our fun?"

"Fun indeed..." The muscular man dragged his words. "Why don't you have fun with me instead," he grinned but the men cowered.

"Come on," he said as he continued to move toward the men. Carly used that opportunity to crawl to where Kihara was. Kihara was crying so hard, she began to hiccup

"Are you okay? I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Carly apologized, even when Kihara shook her head telling her not to apologize, she didn't stop. She kept apologizing as she cried.

They both sat on the floor, hugging themselves tightly as they watched the brave man fight all those men till they all ran away.

He turned towards them,

"That's one reason you should never chase away your bodyguards. There are a lot of people that want your downfall now that you are the king's concubine and mate."

"Can you walk?" He asked and the two crying girls nodded

Although they nodded, the guy still went over to carry Carly in princess style

"I said I can walk," she spoke in a hoarse voice

"I heard you but I wasn't asking you. I was asking the girl beside you. As a mate to the king, I don't think you should be walking almost naked on the streets,"

Carly moved her eyes to examine her body and realized that she was almost naked. Those men had torn her dress, and part of her breast was even opened. She pulled her dress up before turning her face away so he wouldn't see her embarrassed red face but he saw it anyway.

"So who are you?" She asked him as they walked back to the alpha's mansion. Carly wasn't comfortable with the idea of being carried about by someone she doesn't know.

"I'm a friend. I saw you in trouble so I decided to help."

"I know that. I saw it," she snarled. "What I mean is what's your name?"

"Oh," the man chuckled. "My name is Blaze and I'm a good man,"

Carly chuckled when she heard what he said. Of course, he is a good man, there's no thinking twice about it. Someone that rescued her from the hands of those bastards

"Kihara, are you okay?" Carly asked when she saw that the girl was just quietly following.

Kihara is talkative, it's only when she is doing something wrong that she keeps calm. Today, she must still be in shock because of what happened just now, Carly thought

Kihara nodded her head before licking her dried lips

"Yes, I'm okay,"

After a long walk, they found themselves in the Alpha's mansion. Carly had begged the man, Blaze, to put her down because she was feeling sorry for him. He didn't just carry her, he walked a long distance with her.

"I'm sorry but I have to because you are the mate to my dear Alpha," that was his reply every time she makes that request

When he got to the gate of the mansion, he put her down and said "Let's go," Carly and Kihara walked alongside him

"What is this?" Alpha Oswald asked when he saw Carly with torn clothes.

He just had his bath and wanted to relax a little when his guard came to inform him that some guy had brought Carly back to the mansion.

He jumped to his feet and made his way to the throne room where Carly, Kihara, and Blaze stood waiting for him.

"My Alpha, she-"

"Who the hell are you?" Alpha Oswald asked in irritation. His mate wasn't only with a man, she was almost naked with a man around.

'Why was she stained with dirt and blood? What the hell happened?' He wondered

"My name is Blaze, my Lord,"

Alpha Oswald's eyes were fixed on Carly, he kept examining her from head to toe

"I was passing by when I saw her being harassed by some men. I recognized her to be your mate so I went to rescue her. She is badly wounded and would need treatment for her nose and the bruises on her skin."

Alpha Oswald didn't say a word even after Blaze had finished speaking. He stood up from his throne and walked towards Carly.

He didn't spare Kihara a look nor did he look at Blaze. He lifted Carly's chin roughly before asking

"Where are the guards I sent to you?"

"I sent them away," Carly replied boldly without moving her eyes away from him.

He felt his body heated but more than that, anger gushed in

"I sent guards to keep you away from harm and you sent them away?!" He growled at her. Their faces were so close that Carly could feel his breath slap her face. She was pained by his grip on her jaws but she refuse to make it obvious for him to see

"You stubborn little thing!" He cussed with gritted teeth.

"Now, see what happened?! If this man had not come to save you!" His words were loud and sharp that even Kihara couldn't help but cower.

"I didn't think they were needed. I was fine without them before," Carly explained in pain. She didn't think she could bare the pain of his hands on her jaw any longer

"You didn't think that?! I know what I was doing when I sent them to you. Do you think you are still the worthless Carly, the seducer? You are now Carly, the alpha's mate and concubine. Eyes are one you!" He pushed her face backward causing her to fall on the floor

Kihara ran to her side

"From now on, if you ever disobey my words, I'll make sure you receive punishment for it," the words sharp and solid piercing through Carly's heart.

She whines not just from the fall but from her heart that aches. She might not love him but he was her mate after all and he accepted. She would have some feelings in her heart for him not until he rejects her as his mate but it looks like alpha Oswald doesn't plan to reject her.

"From now on, this guy is your new personal bodyguard."

"Blaze?" She asked to be sure. The guy didn't say he needed the job as a bodyguard. What was the Alpha doing?

"Yes, whatever his name is. He will follow you wherever you go and he will make sure to protect you from danger" alpha Oswald turned to leave but paused after a few steps. He turned back to look at the three of them

"This should never repeat itself and you, Blade or Blaze whatever your name is, I do not want to ever hear that you touched my mate again" he warned before walking out of the throne room. As he walked, he yelled

"Get out of there and go change that dress!"

Carly's eyes almost popped out of the socket when she heard what the Alpha had said. Was he jealous? How the hell did he know that Blaze had carried her to the mansion since he dropped her down at the gate before they entered?

Kihara didn't know what to make of Oswald. Was he kind to her, or was he not? He pushed Carly to fall and called her worthless yet he hired a bodyguard to protect her saying this should never happen again. He also said braze should never touch Carly again, so does he like her? Does he hate her? She wondered.

"Why didn't you tell him you didn't want to be my bodyguard? You just stood there quietly like a statue!" Carly argued as she tried to get up with the help of Kihara

Blaze stood there, refusing to help since Alpha Oswald had warned him not to touch her any longer.

"You say to me from those men. The best he could have done was reward you and let you go. Now you are stuck with me till the goddess knows when."

Kihara didn't know when she chuckled

"What's funny?" Carly asked in irritation.

"And you, Blade or Blaze whatever your name is, I do not want to ever hear that you touched my mate again," she mimicked the alpha's muscular voice and burst out in laughter.

It was so funny to see the Alpha jealous, protective, possessive, and angry altogether. They couldn't detect whether he was angry at Carly or it was Blaze he was angry at

He was as confused as they all were in the room of his behavior
