Chapter 7: Humiliated

"That's Nikita's plan, huh? She thinks she could do whatever she liked because she is Luna. How about I show her how sly I can be also,"

Kihara giggled before asking "What do you have in mind?"

Carly came down from the bed she was laying on to get a glass of water from the table. She showed it to Kihara, then she dropped a menthol in it and shook the glass of water, mixing it till it was diluted, then she dropped it back on the table.

She picked it back up and gave it to Kihara to drink. Kihara took it and drank already knowing what Carly's plans were

"Isn't my sister smart?" She bragged

"Now and always," Carly replied with a chuckle before walking over to the window

"You don't know me at all Nikita, you will regret ever messing with me,"

Now she is looking forward to the day of the ceremony. Alpha Oswald didn't even find it necessary to tell her. If Kihara hadn't heard those words from Nikita's lips she wouldn't have known they were about to hold an occasion because of her.

Carly didn't know what to even think of the idea, holding a grand party to welcome a new concubine to the family. It sounded crazy but there was nothing she could do to stop it no matter how much she tried. All she has to do is prepare, watch and wait for the D-Day

'Maybe, just maybe Alpha Oswald would still come to inform me before the day' she thought

Carly continued to live like she didn't know a ceremony would be held to announce the concubine, even the people in the pack had already known but she was waiting for Alpha Oswald to come to inform her himself

When the day finally came, Carly was seated as she was dressed by the maids. She smirked when she saw how beautiful she was looking.

She had dressed to kill, even Alpha Oswald wouldn't be able to take his eyes off of her. She was upset with him because even till the day of the ceremony, Alpha Oswald never came to tell her that he was going to hold a ceremony to announce her as his mate.

When the maids were done, she examined herself in the mirror before heading out with a mission in her mind.

Kihara was also there as she waited for Nikita to make a move. Carly didn't trust anyone so she decided to send Kihara to spy on Nikita.

When the door opened for Carly to come in, everyone gasped, they saw how good-looking she was. Carly was wearing a blue gown with tiny glitters all over. The gown was body-fitted down to her waist but big and round from her waist downwards. Her heels were silver matching her glittering gown. Her hair fell gracefully on her shoulder and her lips were red and seductive.

Carly walked majestically into the hall like a born Luna. She possessed the aura and elegance that everyone began to wonder if she was the same girl they once knew as a mere seducer.

When Nikita stepped in with Alpha Oswald, she wasn't hawked upon. She smiled and waved at them before they cheered for her. But when Carly entered, the whole hall was left in a daze. Carly was a seducer because her appearance alone made many men forget that their wives were with them.

Then, the moment she got to her seat she smiled, and everyone in the hall paused to look with awe. Her smile was like the morning sun, beautiful and bright. One cannot see anything wrong in such a smile, Carly is truly a beauty.

Alpha Oswald frowned when he saw how everyone in the hall was gazing at her. Yes, she is a beauty but she is his now. He couldn't be more glad that he had decided to arrange for this ceremony. Everyone has to know that she is no longer single and she has a mate which happens to be him.

Without wasting much time, Alpha Oswald stood up

"Greetings my people, as we all know it, this is an occasion we have long been waiting for" he began.

"I'm sure you would be wondering why I got myself a concubine. I'm going to explain," as he said that, whispering noises were being heard.

Somehow, Alpha Oswald felt pleased that his mate is Carly, after seeing how men couldn't move their eyes away. She is truly beautiful and he can see that.

"I have been searching for my mate for a long time now, which some of you know about. A few weeks ago, we had a case we were dealing with when my wolf called out to my mate, who happens to be Carly here," he gestured for her to come to him which she did gracefully with a gorgeous smile on. That's all part of her plan

Carly smiled at the audience and they couldn't help but hold their chests. Her beauty was causing them to lose their minds

Nikita was seated on the right side of Alpha's seat, she was so angry that her hands formed into a fist. She wanted to squeeze the life out of Carly and make her disappear from the face of the earth.

She smirked when she remembered the plan she had kept in store for the pretty little damsel.

"Meet my concubine and mate, Carly," everyone in the hall cheered and whistled celebrating her. Carly smiled as she was directed by Alpha Oswald to sit at his left side.

Alpha Oswald before he sat down instructed with a loud voice,

"Let the party begins,"

There were claps and screams of excitement, and soon the party began.

Carly turned to look at Nikita but couldn't find her in her seat anymore, she stood up

"Where are you going?"

"I need to get a drink," Carly replied before walking away searching for Nikita. She made her way to the corridor leading to the kitchen. She was being as quiet as possible but her shoes were still making noises so she took them off.

As she did that, someone pulled her behind a wall, Carly's heart skipped multiple beats as she slowly turned to see who it was only to come face to face with Kihara, she sighed in relief.

"What-" Kihara covered her mouth with her hand, shushing her in the process.

Just then, someone walked past them with her shoes clicking the floor as she moved. Carly saw Nikita leave with a smiling face. She must have thought she had won.

After Nikita left, let go of her lips

"Thank you," Carly pulled Kihara into a warm hug. Then she asked,

"Did you see which drink she tempered with?"

Kihara had a mischievous grin dancing on her lips and winked at Carly.

Carly couldn't help but chuckle when she saw Kihara's behavior

They both moved into the kitchen, Carly switched the glass since they were the same. She made sure she marked the one she was to take and the one she wasn't supposed to.

The Alpha and his Luna's drinks are always served differently by special servants, now that she is now included in the family hers will also be served differently from theirs.

Nikita had tipped the servants so that they would leave the kitchen for her to do what she wanted. What she didn't know is she also tipped them to leave the kitchen for Carly too.

Whatever Nikita's plan was, it just had to backfire. Carly and Kihara made their way back to the hall without being noticed. She went over to join the crowd till Blaze, her bodyguard came to inform her that the Alpha needed her now.

Carly left Kihara and made her way back to her seat. Alpha Oswald asked her to sit, she did that. She could feel Nikita's eyes on her but she refused to turn to look back at her. She acted normal as if she knew nothing.

"A toast?" Alpha Oswald asked and everyone screamed a 'Yes!!'

They all held their glass of wine while Alpha Oswald called for his special servant to bring their glasses of wine.

He came with a tray of three glasses of wine and went to the Alpha first to pick his drink. Alpha Oswald's cup is different from everyone's cup, his royal cup is made of gold

The special servant went to Nikita next and with a smirk, Nikita picked the glass she thinks is the right one for her. When two sets of people saw the glass Nikita had selected, they tried so hard not to smirk.

She was planning her downfall and digging her own grave.

Lastly, Carly was given her glass of wine as well.

"A toast to my Luna, my concubine, and my mate who would provide me an heir and to you all my great people!"

Everyone clicked glasses with one another before gulping their drinks. Carly didn't mind and gulped the whole content down. Nikita who watched Carly closes sneered when she saw that she had downed the drink in a go. With a satisfying smile, she gulped hers as well.

Carly, with everything she had in her, tried not to laugh at Nikita a few moments later when she saw the frown on her face.

Soon, there was an offensive odor around where they sat.

'So this was what Nikita wanted me to go through?' she smiled at Nikita who looked at her with a deep frown and sweaty face

"I need to leave," Nikita stood up and ran away but was farting as she ran causing Carly to burst out in laughter. She could no longer hold it in.
