Chapter 8: Rejected Advances

Nikita who ran out of the ceremony ground couldn't stop herself from purging. She remained in the toilet wishing that none of this ever happened. She regretted ever having it in mind that her plan would come to pass without affecting her.

"Who told Carly about my plan? Who exchanged our drinks?" She asked herself as she remained in the toilet.

She gritted her teeth fuming with rage.

"If I overcome this, I'm going to confront her to find out if she has hired a spy that is trailing me wherever I go because I cannot trust her… she is as prepared as I am but I wouldn't give up yet. She is still a learner who needs to have a taste of my wrath," Nikita said to herself.

"My lady, the ceremony is about to come to an end," A maid informed her.

"I'm not done yet, leave and don't tell me about any ceremony if you don't want to face my wrath?" Nikita barked, which made the maid retreat immediately.

After she felt relieved a bit, she walked into her bedroom and summoned the maid who helped her carry out the plan. She showed up when she was informed she was being summoned by Nikita.

"My lady," she bowed in respect but Nikita wasn't ready to look at her face.

"What happened in the ceremony today, did you dare betray me?" Nikita barked at the maid which made the maid start shivering immediately.

"No my lady, I would never do such… I don't know who exchanged the drinks," the maid said.

"Shut up, you caused all of this, you embarrassed me in public," Nikita said with rage. She was just looking for who to vent all her frustration on.

She wasn't the one that was supposed to face this, it was Carly but now she has ended up as the laughing stock. She couldn't even know what to say to the Alpha when he asked her the reason why she behaved that way.

"But I asked you to watch over the drinks so no one would take any or touch them. Who came there after I left?" Nikita asked the maid. 

The maid thought for a while and remembered she saw Kihara around there even as she never went close to the drinks.

"I saw Kihara, Carly's sister, my lady, but she didn't come over, she was only passing," the maid reviewed, which made Nikita grit her teeth.

"That wench," she spat in anger. 

"She should be the one that did that, maybe she saw everything that happened. I'm going to strangle her… I will make sure life goes out of her," Nikita vowed with rage.

"Get prepared, you will have another task to carry out for me," Nikita added with a light smile on her lips.

"I'm always at your service," my lady," the maid replied. 

Just as Nikita wanted to say something, she felt her stomach rumble and then she gassed out an offensive odor which made her stand up immediately and she rushed back into the bathroom as another set of feces was ready to come out.

That was the worst day of Nikita's life and she planned to make Carly pay miserably for it. She bowed to make her suffer until she started begging to die or to be chased away from the pack.

The ceremony was now over and Alpha Oswald walked around with Carly exchanging pleasantries with his prominent guest. Carly was enjoying the attention she was being given, the people who attended the ceremony couldn't stop gushing at how beautiful she was which was unnecessarily pissing the Alpha off but he pretended he was enjoying it too.

"You look so gorgeous my lady, I wish I got to meet you first…I would have never allowed such a beauty like you to escape my grasp," a random beta complimented Carly and Alpha Oswald gritted his teeth.

He looked at Carly who was smiling sheepishly and she immediately stopped smiling.

"You can go ahead while I attend to the remaining guests," Alpha Oswald said to Carly and she frowned.

"Why?" She asked him, not knowing the reason why he was asking her to leave when she was the main purpose of the ceremony. 

You have to obey me and ain't meant to ask me questions," Alpha Oswald murmured. He didn't want to show how enraged he was as they were in a public place.

Carly didn't want to leave and wanted to argue about it but in order not to give people a wrong signal, she decided to obey Alpha Oswald. If she disobeys him and he suddenly gets angry, she would be tagged as a disrespectful mate which wouldn't turn out well, and would give Nikita every right to do how she pleases with her when she thinks she has gained the people's support.

As Carly started leaving, Alpha Oswald signaled Blaze to follow Carly Incase she got into trouble.

Carly went back home and met her sister Kihara already in her chamber, drinking some wine. She sighed and sat on the bed.

Kihara stopped what she was doing and came to sit with her with concern written all over her face.

"Why are you back early?" Kihara asked Carly but Carly didn't reply to her question immediately. She waited for some seconds before replying.

"The Alpha asked me to go in first." 

"Why?" Kihara asked, becoming interested.

"I don't know, maybe he is ashamed all of a sudden because I'm a mere concubine and not his Luna," Carly said sadly.

"No Sis, that's not it. The Alpha would like whoever he wants to as long as he is in love with the person. The only way now is to make him like you," Kihara advised, which got Carly's interest.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Carly asked Kihara and she nodded in reply.

"What about Nikita, you know how much she hates me," Carly pointed out.

"She shouldn't pose a problem… there's always a way to deal with her. She has enjoyed the Alpha enough and should give you space," Kihara said, which Carly agreed to.

"What should I do then?" Carly asked Kihara.

"Go to the Alpha's chamber tonight… I'm not sure Nikita will recover from her predicament until morning, this is your chance," Kihara said and Carly beamed with happiness.

"Thank you, Sis," Carly said and hugged Kihara feeling extremely happy with the idea.

** LATER AT NIGHT**

Carly dressed up in a seductive night dress and showed Kihara who admired the dress as it showed her curves and milky skin. 

"You look so sexy sis, the Alpha would not be able to resist your looks tonight," Kihara said, admiring Carly.

"Thank you, sis, I guess Nikita will be so angry when she hears about this tomorrow. She deserves what happened to her," Carly said with a laugh when Kihara returned.

"It only happened because you got a sister that is always having your back. I would make sure no one messes with you," Kihara promised.

"Thank you so much, sis, but I have to go now… I can't wait," Carly said with excitement and wore a robe that covered her outfit before heading out of her chamber.

While heading to the Alpha's chamber, she met some servants who were still working on her way and they paid their respect whenever she approached them. In five minutes she was already at Alpha Oswald's door. From her chamber to his wasn't a long walk.

She met some guards waiting outside Alpha Oswald's chamber, they bowed immediately after they saw her. One of them went in to inform Alpha Oswald and came out after some minutes to usher her inside.

She was taken to Alpha Oswald's study where he was busy with the pack affairs and other things.

"Good day My Lord," Carly bowed when she got inside.

Alpha Oswald looked up but wasn't having a smile on his face. He signaled the guard to leave and he did.

"Why are you here uninvited?" He asked Carly and she swallowed hard.

"I decided to come to keep you company my Lord, the night is cold and you would need someone to warm up your bed," Carly said and removed the robe, reviewing the skimpy nightwear.

Alpha Oswald started hard and wasn't able to remove his eyes from her body until Carly chuckled which brought him back to his senses.

"You want me?" She asked seductively and started walking towards him.

"Stop Carly, I'm not ready for this…" Alpha Oswald said.

"My Lord_"

"Leave Carly, I have important documents to review. Guards come to escort her out," Alpha Oswald said aloud and Carly quickly rushed to grab her robe and wore it back before another guard walked inside and showed her the door.

She gritted her teeth looking at Alpha Oswald but he didn't behave like he cared an inch. Carly felt very hurt and unwanted and dragged her feet back to her chamber.
