Thinking out loud

The following morning, I got up to notice a package at the door, who must have kept this?" I said to myself only to infern Keith ambling forward.

He stops midway, "Alexis, are you okay?".  He asked and falls his eyes downwards to see the package on my hand.

"What is that?". Adds up his words to me.

I jiggled my head and answered, " I don't know, thought you might have sent it to me".

"Of cause not, I never sent a package to you". Keith affirms and drifts his eyes on mr fabain ambling closer, holding the same package in his hand.

"Father". He calls out to him

"Good morning son" Mr. Leonardo took a step forward and falls his eyes on me.

"Oh, Tori, I can see you have the same package". Adds up, winding his eyes back to Keith.

"Did you send this to Alexis?". Keith inquired, "no, son, I found this package on my front door" Mr. Leonardo says, smurfing a confused look on our faces.

I wondered who did?" That's my head talking, but got the answer to it, when I noticed a written note on the ground.

So I dicked down and read through it, "this is to cordially invite you to Devon's  Masquerade ball, tonight".

Mr Leonardo shared a look at his son and both altered out the same time, "a masquerade ball?". 

I jiggled my head and reacted, " yes please, a masquerade ball".

"I wonder who Devon might be?"

Mr fabain inquired

"Only one way to find out". Keith response and lefts with his own package..

(The same day)

We all donned in our different attires and left to the  venue, "damn" I mouthed after the car stopped in front of a huge mansion, yet again wonder who Mr Devon is?....

A man walks past and disappeared into the crowd, I tied my eye trying to see who he was but Keith drits my attention elsewhere.

He says, "shall we dance?"

I looked round and deep down, urged to say no, but accidentally a little girl bumped into me,and I  added up by taking Keith hand.

He smiles his way to the dance floor and gently placed his left hand on mine, while we moon walked to the song playing.

A while later, the atmosphere darkened and I felt a weird aura heaved around me.

My norm attitude got Keith to ask, "are you okay?". Only to fall back his attention when a masculine voice airs out to us.

The voice says, " welcome everyone, and thank you for accepting my invitation!!! I am Devon Shane".

Apparently, I kept asking the same question, about his identity, but falls short the second, he (Devon) peels off the masks covering his identity.

Keith pulls back donning a startled look on his face, after confronting the truth staring at us.

"Is that Chris?" I asked myself and meet Alvin's shaking within.

Mr fabain pulls his son away from my reach and they both talked with their hands demonstrating.

I turned my eyes back but Devon was in no way found, he must have left, I said, but bumped my way to a waiter, who passed a bottle of wine to me.

(Inaudible conversation)

Keith couldn't believe his eyes, and I know he was going to confront, if truly Devon was his brother or not.

The party finally came to an end, one after the other, the guests left to their different destination, yet Alvin refused to budge without knowing the truth.

He soars his eyes and took notice of Devon ambling into tht garden and not a single one said, Keith ran after him, and we followed suit.

"Hold on sir".

Keith voice echoed, as he veers back his attention.

"Yes, how may I be of help to you?". Devon smiles warmly, iddling to hear him speak.

I walked out and met them both faced frozed at each other, "Keith, what are you doing?" I said and fell Devon attention on me.

"I don't understand, what's going on either and if mr Keith will kindly explain, I can be able to know".  (He says and rephrase his eyes back).

Keith takes a step further and said, "are we seriously doing this, brother?".

A weak smile smurdge on, Devon replied, " did you just call me, your brother? Do I look like your brother, Mr keith".

His arrogant behavior, made me think otherwise, but Keith had to go further with his, by pulling Devon by his shirt.

"Don't you dare lie to me, i know it's you Chris do I look stupid?". 

( He yells out his word and kept on acting like a lunatic)

"Chris, stop it?". I walked and forcefully dragged him off him ( Devon)

Mr fabain vents out his anger by raising his hand on his son, which plastered a shocked look on my face.

"Oh my goodness, did Keith just get slapped by his father?". ( That's my head talking).

I turned and noticed Devon was a little pleased by what happened, maybe Keith is right, Devon might be Chris, but I'll have to find out the truth, one way or the other.

Keith loomed around and falls down on a bench outside, Mr Ajay adds up his words, by clearing the air, he says, " Mr Devon, I am sorry about my son's behavior!!! Indeed you look like his brother, but I am sure you're not, sorry for the confusion".

Devon says, "do I really look like his brother?".  And turns to Alvin who kept on contemplating to himself.

"Keith".

He lifts his head up, "yes" and waits for a response from Devon.

(Continues talking).

"I am sorry for the confusion, we will be leaving now". ( He gets up from the bench and take a step forward).

"Hold on Mr. Keith".

Devon's voice halts him to a stop, he turns back, and watched Devon recedes further with his words.

"How about we play a game?". He adds up.

"What game?". Keith asked donning a confused look on his face.

So he says, " it's a game called, the truth".

( Continues talking after noting we couldn't phantom what he meant).

"Now I believe you're still in doubts to see if truly I am your brother or not, so now, I suggest that we play a game called the truth, and it is going to last for one month, and during that month, you will get the clarity, if truly, I am your brother or not".

( Waits for Keith to speak)

"What's in it for you?". Keith words to him.

"Nothing actually, I only want to make it clear that I am not your brother, even though your mind, thinks otherwise".

(Devon walks out and left us talking among ourselves)

"Son, are you sure about this?".

Mr fabain was in no way happy about the arrangements make by them, he was displeased by his son's behavior, rather Keith shoots an odd smile and warned, "father, I don't need you to support me and as for Devon, I am going to prove that, his David and only putting on an act, lastly!! Don't you dare raise your hand on me".

He Unfrozed and left me thinking otherwise.
