I got questions

"So tell me, ma'am, how are you!".

I knew that was a foolish question to ask but I need nothing else to think of and yes, I feel relieved knowing fully well that, Keith plans weren't successful.

Mr. Elena seats me down beside her and said, "I am fine but the question is, how are you, and is there anything want to tell me?". ( Waits for my comeback)

I disproved her idea, that's when Chris walks in to meet me seated there with his mom.

He squeezed his eyes and curiously looked at his mom, "what's going on?" Chris falls back and ambled further to us.

"Nothing son, I am only having a lovely chat with Tori here, is that now a crime?". She adds up her words to him

They both conversed in riddles and I had no idea what they both spoke about, Chris returns his eyes to me, "please excuse me, Tori, I'll come to find you".

Chris odd behavior towards my presence in the room gave way for curiosity, I wondered what's going on with his mom.

The second my feet left, he says to Mrs. Elena, "seriously mom, what were you telling Tori?".

Mrs. Elena frowned and went on to tell her exact words to him, in return, Chris puffed out a deep breath and finally relaxed his nerves.

"Oh thank God?" He falls his weight on the bed and Mrs. Elena pulls him up from it.

"What?" Frowns at her behavior.

She adds up and replied, "don't give me that look, and yes, haven't you told Alexis that truth?"

"What truth?" ( Chris asked)

"The truth of how you feel about her or aren't you in love with her?" ( She waits to hear his reply, that how Mr. Jason strolls out of the restroom and draws their attention.

He says, " can you stop forcing him to tell Tori how he feels and I trust my son will do the right thing when the time comes".

Meanwhile, I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water, I pulled up the glass and while trying to get a hold of the jug inside the fridge, someone passed behind, which got me scared.

"Who's there?" I said but falls back the moment I stepped on a letter on the floor, which read, "you can never forget the hand that fed you and gets ready for the showdown, Tori".

My eyes loomed around trying to search who might have dropped the letter, I ran outside yet couldn't see anyone, the question is, who might have sent this message to me. Perhaps has Keith escaped from jail".

"Alexis, are you okay?"

Chris called out from behind and falls my attention on him, he beers down and saw the same letter in my hand.

"What is that?" He inquired as I passed it over for him to read.

He read through and second his eyes falls through the last word, our eyes met.

"Who sent this?" He asked

" I don't know and please can you check if Keith still at the prison, for all we know that he might have escaped from jail". ( I  muttered to Chris who ran quietly at my words).

"Fine, I'll call the inspector".

Chris pulled out his phone and dialed the inspector's number, they both spoke on the phone and I anxiously waited for his response.

After a few seconds, Chris puts the call off and said, "Tori!! I don't know how to say this but, Keith, escaped from the cell and the police have been searching for him for over a month now".

Accidentally, I dropped my phone on the floor, " Alexis are you ok" Chris had no idea what the news would mean and Alvin wasn't someone to sit down and keep quiet after all, he must have fished out the truth that Devon was truly Chris.

"Are you seriously asking me that? Don't you at least feel scared?"

Thinking of the drama about to unfold, ran chills through my spine.

"Scared about what, and why should I be afraid of my little brother, don't worry Tori, I'll handle him and I know the police will catch him and locked him up for good".

Chris calm words to me got me more worried, it's as if the incident of what happened a year ago, was about to unfold again and this time, I don't think anyone will come out of it alive.

"Hmm, I hope you're right". My words to him as I walked back to the house.

The same day, seated at the gardens, one of the workers at home, past a cup of tea for me.

"Thank you so much" I smiled and gently rub my both hands on the hot cup of tea when suddenly David ran over and tossed it to the floor.

"What the hell?". I jerked up from the bench.

Chris veers back to see the man was making a run for his life, thus he followed suit and stopped him before he could escape.

"Who sent you?" Chris squeezed the shirt of the man that served me, hence I watched at the side without altering a single word.

The man begged for mercy, the commotion going on downstairs gained the rest of the family's attention.

"Son, what's going on?". Mr. Jason inquired for his son who continued the same action.

The man says, "I am sorry, but someone made me do it, he paid me to kill Miss Tori".

"Who did?' out of curiosity I asked.

He disapproved of my idea and frowned, "I don't know but he normally contacts me on this particular phone number".

Somehow I felt the person behind this was no other but Keith, and right now his capable of doing anything to get what he wants, even though taking life for his selfish desire".

Chris added his action by phoning the police and viewed as they took him away.

(I spoke to myself donning a scared demeanor, Chris drugs my eye on him and says, Alexis I promise that nothing will happen to you, not even my brother will have the chance to".

If Keith doesn't get to me first.

The same day, a knocked on my room door gained my attention, I moved a further and met Chris at the door.

"What's going on?" I inquired pushing for a response.

"Nothing, but I'll like you to go on a date with me". Chris airs publicly to me, I look on donning a shocked expression.

" A date, why?". A cloud of excitement yet curiosity wrapped around me, as he retorts back with an answer, "how about you come and I'll tell you everything, but first, promise me that you will come, please".

I buffed out a deep breath and told on, the exact words he wished the hear, "I'll be there but where exactly?". I asked and met him rambling away in a dash.

"I'll tell you, don't worry?? He yells to my hearing.

Thus not quite long, a parcel addressed to me, came to my room, I read through the written heart-shaped note and noted Chris sent the package, wrapped inside was a blue dress, which he told on, I should wear and meet him at the playground in an hour.
