Revelation

( six months later)

The preparation for my wedding with Chris has been smoothly undergoing, I get butterflies in my stomach everything the idea of getting married gets into my mind.

"Hmm!! Someone's talking to herself again" Chris says as it reeled me back to his presence behind, "hello stranger" I said, walked close and hugged him, he returns donning the same glare on.

"How are you doing!!" He asked after sitting me down on a stool.

"Am fine babe!! How are you?" I returned with the same question as he gets all energized by it, "I'm okay!! Just happy that in three days, I'll be getting married to the woman of my dreams". ( His statement pinned a smile on my lips) "hmm!! Are you that happy getting married to me!! Don't you at least feel scared, because we both know how annoying a particular someone can be". (Chris turns and dragged me up close) "seriously!! Between me and you!! Who's the annoying one?". ( Waits to see how I react to his statement).

"Oh really!!! Are we doing this right now?" ( Played along with his words) "yes, miss annoying and please don't think of doing anything tonight!! Because we're going to a wonderful place, I call!! My secret spot".

( Pulled me a step back and left)

A weak smile smudge on my lips, and deep down, couldn't stop anticipating for tonight, "what could go wrong?" I said to myself and rushed out to get dressed.

(8:00pm)

At the exact time, I strolled downstairs and meet David dressed up in his tux waiting for me.

"Ready Mrs. Hart?" He pulls out his hand out as we walked to the car, Mr. Jason took a sight of us from his room and smiles, looking through the window.

Mrs. Elena steps into the room and saw him smiling, "Is everything okay?" She asked.

He turns his head to her, "yes dear!! Just happy that finally, we've gotten rid of Fabian and his devilish son". He lets out smurfing a frown on her face, "you're right dear!! I Know how that feels, at least, it gave rise to Tori's and our sons love" she adds up seated on the bed.

"Yes, you're right dear, thankfully" ( Mr. Jason affirms her words).

Meanwhile, Chris drives to a secluded spot hidden away from the city, "what's this place?" ( Asked as we both amble out of the car). He pulls me closer and covered my eyes with his hands, "shh!! It's a surprise". He lets out as we both walked further in, I could hear the sound of falling waters when our feet suddenly halts, he lets go of his hands from my eyes and I dropped a shocked expression to the surrounding around us.

"Oh my goodness!! It's beautiful".( Astonished by the beautiful scenery, I said).

"Well miss Alexis!! Welcome to my secret spot!! Since you're going to be my wife, I believe it's best to share everything with you".( He sews my eyes round and playfully swung me close.

"Thank you, Mr arrogant?" ( I said)

"You're welcome, my love" ( answered back, with our eyes linked together).

Chris and I sat down on a green parted grass glaring at the stars in the sky, thus a few minutes later, he excused himself and left me alone, waiting for his return.

( A few hours later, Chris hasn't returned, I got tensed and veered back to the car and saw him, unconscious on the ground)

"Chris?"I ran to his aid, he caresses his head and falls his head back, "what happened?" He asked oblivious to what did happen.

"what!!! Don't you know what happened?". ( I asked and met him disapproving my words) "I don't know anything!! But all I could recall, was a call came in from home, and when I tried to answer, something was smashed on my head".

A tensed look drops on my face, who would do such a thing?" I asked myself, as he gets up from the ground.

"Please let's go home?* He gets into the car and drives home without altering a single word.

Mrs. Elena and Mr. Jason, rushed outside the second our car ducked at the driveway, "son, are you okay?". Mr. Jason airs out to him, as we ambled further to meet them.

"Yes, dad!! Am fine, just exhausted" Chris says donning a tired glare on. He shoots me a weak smile and walked away.

"Is my son okay?* Mrs. Elena finally let out, I shifted my attention and reeled her in for a warm hug, "yes ma'am!! He's going to be okay!! Just tired that's all" I answered and left in the same direction David went.

( Chris's room)

"Chris ! May are come in?" I inquired standing at the entrance of his room.

He turns his gaze back to me, "yes please!! What's up?" ( Seats on the bed).

I moved a step closer and sat next to him, "are you okay?".

"Yes, I am!! Why are you asking?" He falls itchy eyes to my question, somehow my eyes wandered off and take heed of a scratch on his arm.

"Tori!! What's wrong with you?" ( Chris regains my attention over to him).

"You're hurt!! Babe". ( I got up and walks straight to where the first aid kit is kept, and returned to him still seated on the bed).

"Please get undressed". I said

"Excuse me!! Why should I?". ( Chris gets all tensed up).

"Can't you see you're hurt!! Get dressed please and promise not to go beyond" ( teases him)

He gets up from the bed and strolled a step backward from me, "No!! Don't worry about that, I'll get that done myself".

Chris odds behavior got me a little surprised because his one who doesn't get shy and takes any opportunity to get undressed.

"Chris, are you feeling okay!! You sure you do not concoct?". ( My words seem to have gone the wrong way, he flare up angered by it), "seriously!!! Don't you dare Tori!!! Do I look concoct to you?". ( Frowns)

"Jeez!!! Calm down and please don't talk with so much hate in your voice". ( He tone of voice gave birth to mine, thus the next minute, I found myself tossed out of his room, without a hand up, Mrs. Elena took notice of what happened from afar and ran to me). "Dear!!! What happened?" ( Locks a confused glare at me).

I shifted my head and without altering a single word, walked away.

Mrs. Elena saw that David's attitude got me hurt, she squeezed her face and barged into his room without knocking.

"Son!!! We need to talk right now. ( Frowns).

"What's going on mom?" He regains his attention to her.

She fills up the left space between them, "you tell me!! What going on between Tori and you?" ( She asks).

Chris plastered a confused glare at her, "what are you saying!! Nothing happened mom" ( eyes drafts away from her).

"Don't lie to me!!! Tell me right now" ( Mrs. Elena command's to know the truth).

In return, he vents out and the second he attempts the same action, someone stops in and pulls him away from her.

"What has gotten over you?" Mr. Jason inquired, pissed off by his behavior. He falls his eyes back and said, "nothing is wrong with me, so!! Please give me time alone to think, you all are acting as if, I'm a sickle patient at the hospital, just go away and let me think".

( Yelled out )

Mrs. Elena couldn't believe it was her son saying such words, she wears a disappointed demeanor and stormed out of the room.

Mr. Jason look noticed and said, "look son!! We are only being concerned about you, and the next time, you act such away with you and your wife to be!! You will regret it". ( He unfrozen and walked away).

The same day, I moved to the living room and met everyone seated, thus not quite long, Chris strolled in as well, he meets us in a tense mood.

"Good evening everyone?" He greets, yet no one says anything.

Mr. Jason gets up from the couch and the second he tried to leave, David blocked his path. "Can we not do this dad?" He falls a frown on.

"Can we not do what?" Mr. Jason says donning a confused glare on his face, Chris drops a sad look on lets out to our hearing, "I am sorry dad?".

"You shouldn't be saying sorry to me!!! But someone else". He eyes shift to me ambling away.

I also got up to leave, when a hand dragged me back, "hold on Alexis!" Chris says.

"Yes!! What's going on,?" In a cold tone, I asked.

So he replies, "I'm sorry for snapping at you!! Didn't know what came over me, please forgive me". ( Chris words to me).

There was no need to drag the same issue, I jerked a step backward and said, "it's okay, I forgive you" but you should also apologize to your mom as well". ( Our eyes shifts to her seated behind).

He takes a few steps closer and pulled her in for a comforting hug, "I'm sorry ma!! Please forgive me" he lets out to her, a weak smile smudge on her lips, she pulls him back and walked away without altering a single word, not quite long, a call came through on his phone, as he ( Chris) leaves in a hurry not taking a second glance back.

I took a step forward to leave but something reeled me back towards his direction, from a far distance he lets out in a pissed-off tone. "Don't you dare talk to me about dignity"? ( He says through the phone).

"What's going on?" ( Spoke to myself, unfortunately, his eyes drifts away, and saw me listening to his conversation). "Alexis, are you listening to my conversation?". ( Disappointing glare at me).

I took a look back but drifts forward when he forcefully gained my attention over to him.

"Tell me the truth!! How much did you listen?". ( Chris adds up to his statement, clenching tightly on my arm)

"Let go of me" ( I folded my arms around, yet the more I try the tighter he grip's on me).

"Why should I! Tell me, how much did you listen?" ( Copies his exact words to me, when Mrs. Elena nudged me off and angrily slapped him). "Mom" ( he gets upset).

"Don't you dare call me mom, what has come over you? Why are you acting all hostile with your family". ( Her voice seems to have gotten Mr. Jason's attention, as he walks outside to meet the tension building up).

"What's going on?". ( He inquired donning a frown).

"Why don't Chris, explain what I caught him doing to Tori, his wife to be". ( Mrs. Elena vents out, still pissed by his attitude).

I took a step backward and allowed him to speak, he ( Chris) looms his eyes around trying to find his words.

Mr. Jason got so upset to a point, he latched out; "what the hell is wrong with you? Why are you acting strange, it's as if they swapped you for someone else!! Are you, my son?".

He wasn't the only one that felt that way, ever since we returned from the secret spot, Chris been acting strange, I wouldn't be surprised if he truly was swapped, but in all, is that Chris here with us?". ( That's my head talking, as the tension kept building up).

A few minutes later)

"What's going on here?". A feminine voice clamored out from behind.

We all weaved our attention to infer a young lady, standing with her bags by her side.

"Liana?" Without hesitation, David ran over to her, they warmly hugged each other, thus to me, I had just one question, "who are you?".

My pending question, got its answer when Mrs. Elena drags me a step closer to her, "Alexis! I know you must be wondering who that is!!! She's Liana, Chris's childhood best friend". ( Unfrozen and left to welcome her, still standing at my exact position, she finally noticed my presence there, and swiftly made her away close). "Hello my name Liana, and you must be, Chris girlfriend". ( Brings out her hands to shake me).

"Am sorry, not his girlfriend but rather his fiancee" ( shades our hands together as she pinned a smiley face).

"Fiancee, sorry about that". (Adds up to her words to him, Chris pulls her away from me and without hesitation, dragged her inside with her suitcase behind).

It seems like, I didn't even matter to him, "what's going on?". That's my head talking, as I glared at them from a far distance.
