Goner

The following morning

Based on the bet made Yesterday, at Devon's Mansion, we returned back there the next morning with our bags in our hands.

The hand keepers, individually took hold of our bags and moved further in, and ran into Devon ambling downstairs to meet us.

"Welcome home, everyone?"

He smiles and gave out instructions as to where our bags were supposed to keep.

"Thank you for the invite Devon?" Keith budding attitude got me thinking, is he really gonna try to play the am such a saint card on him, if only they knew what demon hides behind the innocent look on his face.

Devon turns and walked away without sorting things out with us, he gets into a dark colored car and it immediately drove out.

(Three hours later)

"Miss Alexis".

A masculine voice gets my attention and I fell back to infern Devon standing behind me, "good day sir, do you perhaps need anything?". I inquired and met him smile back his answers, "no please, I only wanted to check up on you and hope everything at the room is to your taste".

I giggled and said, " yes sir, thank you". And watched him amble away arms linked together.

The same day, a stroll we do me good, I said to myself and walked out to get some fresh air.

I had no idea where Keith and Mr Leonardo was but met someone else instead, "Mr Devon, what are you doing outside?".

He turns holding unto a cup of tea and answered, "no reason in particular miss Alexi's and yes, I also love taking a stroll whenever I can't get myself to sleep.

"Ohh'. I exclaimed and moved further to him, "what?" He says, noting the curious look on my face.

"Nothing" smiled back and saw Keith and his father ambling in holding a package.

( Fills up the distance between us)

"Goodevening Devon, why are you still awake!!! Did you perhaps couldn't sleep?".  ( Keith insured with a sky smile and got a deep response from Devon,  he says and i quote, " what's your business?". ( His eyesight falls on the package) " what is that?".

He ( Keith drops his gaze down and reseeds further with his words) "oh, it's a lovely snow globe, I saw it in my way from the office and  I thought buying it for you".

I felt there was more to the snow globe the meets the eyes, thus I wouldn't be surprised if, it ends up having a hidden camera on it, so has to get the truth out even before the one month elapses, indeed Keith one sly Snake.

"And why would you think that I would want to have a snow globe?".  Devon airs out, iddling to hear Keith's comeback, rather someone else swops in before he could, Mr Leonardo says, " what are you saying sir!! Everyone loves a snow globe and trust me, it will make your room beautiful, trust us".

(Smiles profoundly)

"Fine, I'll take it".

Devon backs in with the gift, brought in by Keith, and while he ambeld further, Mr Leonardo shoots a smile to his son, who donned the same look, indeed that snow globe isn't just an ordinary snow globe, but a medium to getting the truth.

(10:00pm)

Peace was the theme for the evening, we all locked up our rooms tucked ourselves in bed, but as usual, someone had to wake us up.

"Ghost!!!"..

Keith terrified voice gains our attention, and we all ran out of rooms outside to meet him.

"What's going on?" Devon inquired, displeased by it.

Keith falls on the ground and soared his eyes like he only could see the ghost.

"G...h...o..s...t"

Keith got so pricked to a point he ran out, like a lunatic, we attempted to go after him but halts when Devon volunteered to bring him back home and I don't see how his suggestion will go wrong!! Or can it?.

(An hour later)

We waited at the living room, for the past hours and not quite long, Devon ambled in with Keith beside, he shoots a weak smile while they take a few steps closer to us.

Mr Leonardo, says, " son!! Are you okay?".

Keith smile his way ans left to his room without altering a single word, and truly I don't know what Devon told him to reel him back home.

In return he tuned to Devon and asked the same question, "he is fine, don't worry" Devon affirms and returned back to his room and after a few head count we left to ours too.

The following morning, Devon strolled out of his room and met us at the dining room table, he smiles his words out, "good morning everyone" and falls his eyes to Keith who dinned a weak smile on his counternance.

Devon seated next to me and says, "good morning Tori!!! Hope you slept well?'.

I giggled and replace his question with my words, "yes please, I did". (smiles).

Abruptly we continued with the same action, and quietly took out breakfast, but the atmosphere changed when a lady fronts her way in.

"Hello baby". She yells at the top of her voice, as we all drums back our attention.

Devon fronts a frown and replied with a distant tone, "Alyssa!!! What the hell are you doing here?'.

She fills up the space left and replied to his questions, "I don't know babe but, why are you asking me such questions, I am your girlfriend remember?'.

I fell my eyes to Devon, he moved out of the dining room table and stormed his way to the living room.

"Don't you give me that tone of voice!!! And before you alter anymore words, please be aware that we have nothing tieing us together".  ( Frowns).

(Continues talking)

"Seriously Devon!!!! Are you really doing this,all because of her" ( furiously pints her hand on me).

Devon shreds her hands away from me, he adds up to his words,. "excuse me!!! What do you mean?".

His aggravated tone, Alyssa replied, ",yes Devon, don't made get me upset, remember I am your girlfriend". ( Her previously statement)

Apparently the drama kept going on and seriously I wasn't in no way ready to seat and watch, thus I moved out of the dinning room table.

"Hold on miss perfect". The angry voice of Alyssa called out to me, I turned and waited for her reaction.

Thus she moves forward to my direction but stops midway by devon who pulled her back and dragged her out of the room.

I still couldn't find the reasons behind her disproving look, and as to why my presence seemed like a threat, only one way to find out. (Curious look).

(Hours past, still awaiting Devon's return, the same time he strolls him and met me.

"Alexis, were you waiting for me?"

He smirked at me

" Yes I was?". ( My mind playing tricks on me)

"Why?". He dragged his words, in a haste I returned back my words, "do you perhaps not know?" . ( Eyes locked as he jiggled his head and left not saying a word.

I donned a starled look on, does he think, I'll let the drama caused by a lady I had no idea was but knew me pass by? Oh hell no.
