ALEX'S POV

As the light brightened the house, I slowly veered in donning a beautiful gown.

I came with Mr. Chris Fisher. We look like the perfect couple, or maybe we can be if only he decides to look at me with those loving eyes.

I walked further with him when the lights in the mansion darkened.

He greeted the guests at the party.

It is the 50th anniversary of the company.

I stood next to Chris when suddenly a hand seized me away.

Everywhere was opaque so I could not see who It was, maybe it is Chris? I mumbled, not quite sure of my answer.

The strange man, whom I couldn't see, didn't alter a word to me, instead, he pins my hands and gazed at me.

"Who're you?".

I asked.

I tried to catch a glimpse of him, however, he lets go and dashed away in a hurry.

Chris walks in

" Alexis, why are you here?".

He inquired.

I whirled and discovers him trying to clean off a stain from his tux.

Was Chris perhaps the stranger?

Chris howled when he saw I got lost in my thoughts.

"Are you okay?"

He asked in novelty.

"I am fine! Please excuse me,"

I said and walked away.

I came to the bar and sat down.

I drank so many shots that in the process I became tipsy, I had no control over my body and staggered my way to the center of the room.

Everyone ogled me.

Chris finds me misbehaving.

He wasn't pleased one bit.

He wears an uneasy look on his face, but he tried to stop me from further humiliating myself, and that was when the light went off again.

The music ceased and everywhere blackened, I still couldn't phantom what was happening.

"Alexis let's go!".

A hand pulls me away from there, although it was dark, I had no idea where I was being taken but the softness of the stranger's palm and its broad shoulders gave it away that it must be Chris

It had to be him.

We walked with a flashlight and got into a room,

I was forced to seat down until the lights come on.

The stranger takes my hands away and attempted to leave, shortly he stopped to notice I held his shirt.

"Alexis I can't leave if you keep holding unto me," He announces lovingly.

The voice sounded like him, nevertheless, I had to inquire to be sure, "Chris is that you?". I asked.

He takes my hands away and faced the door.

I got a hold of his shirt again and grabbed him back to my gaze.

He attempted to make a move forward when he missed a step and falls on top of me.

The torchlight fell in the other direction, blocking out any possibility to see the face of the man I reckon he was.

Who is he, and why do I feel safe with him?

Our lips were just an inch closer, he asked me to get up, which I tried to, but a strain of my hair got tied to his shirt.

He takes my hands away, stayed calm, and helped remove my hair.

I tried getting up, however, my hands slipped and I pulled him down again.

Shortly, the light came on and I came to see Alvin's brothers, locked in with me.

"You? What the hell?".

I pushed him off.

"What? Did think it was my brother".

A nasty look pins around his

devious-looking face when Chris walked into the room.

"Keith! What are you doing here?"

He moves his eyes a little further, and he saw me,

"Tori, you are here?" He walks close.

Chris turns his head back to find me angry, he grinned and I walked away.

He wanted to go after me but David pulled him back.

He wanted to know why he come.

However, Chris was rather concerned about what happened In the room.

Chris grunts and walked away.

I am so mad at myself for firstly getting intoxicated and secondly making a fool of myself in front of Alvin's annoying older brother.

Yes! His older brother.

Chris was someone we could call a rebel, he barely got along with his father, because they wanted him to take over their family business but as we all know it, Chris wanted to be a photographer and not take any part of his fathers business, the decision made his father not only disown him but also handed over the family fortune to his younger brother, who by the way, is doing well managing their father's business.

I thought I might get time for myself but Keith comes again to intrude.

"Hmm! Alone with your thought?"

He says.

"Hmm! Didn't know you cared?" I replied

He laughed and watched me.

I got so aggravated that I pulled him away.

But he grabbed my hands and pushed me back to my gaze.

"Let me go?".

I slapped his hands away.

"What? Don't tell me you haven't noticed that your cloth is gradually getting loosed".

He looked at my dress.

I lowered my gaze immediately to find my dress slowly ripping.

I tried to cover it up with my hands when a jacked was covered around my shoulders.

I looked and my eyes finds him

"Are you okay?"

He asked.

"Sure, thank you,"

I looked at his face.

He rolls his eyes and left.

Chris and I got to the party, he made sure I don't go away, and I stood by his side until it came to an end.

We walked the guests to the front door, I was also leaving when Chris called me back.

He wanted me to stay, since it was midnight, it wouldn't be nice to let me leave at this ungodly hour.

I looked at the time and saw it was half past eleven in the evening.

I'm sure no taxi runs by this time.

But I still needed to stay back because Chris had asked me too.
