Family outing

She shot a smile at me and I no a fake smile when I see one, "Alexis! Are you okay?" I asked as she veers to met my gaze fixed on hers.

"I am fine! Why do you say so?" She asked suspiciously my questions, thus, I smiled and said, "nothing but I feel your hiding something from me!".

Alexis laughed out loud heeding ty statement, she runs her hand no no through her hair and answered back, "I am fine, but did you notice anything?" She asked once more, "what?" I said wearing a confused look on my face, as she retorts back giggling her words to me. "We don't fight anymore?".

I laughed out as well, truthfully it's a miracle to finally get a breather and not being able to fight with her over some silly issues.

I raised my back on the best, fixed my gaze up and we both stared at the sky.

The next morning,  I got up from bed, and breakfast was already fixed on the table for me, "who did this?" I gazed on surprised when dad walked in, holding two glasses of warm milk in his hand.

"Good morning son!"  He smiles lovingly at me, attaining my attention to him, "good morning boss man" I answered back with a smile.

Dad gets closer and placed the glass cups in his hand, he pulls out a chair and seat down, thus before he tells me to join him, I pulled a chair and seat next to him.

Few hours passed, we both enjoyed a father and son moment, mom came into the room and saw us chatting with each other, she smiles and joins in as dad opens up to me more hidden truth from him.

He also told me to get ready and we would go pay a visit to a few of the board members who still got him back, and knows the truth about Leonardo trickiness.

(A while later---- as instructed we went over to a few of the board members, who became started seeing that he was alive.

Meanwhile, Leonardo reveals to his son the reason behind his sudden father's outing.

He opens up to him that, it is a medium of buying the hearts of the body of directors, by paying his way for his son to be the chairman of the company.

Keith had no idea how foolish he was, being used by his very own father. He nods his head and affirms his father's words, neither did he know that the company they are fighting for isn't his, it belonged to someone else.

That subsequent day, I rushed in to catch some sneeze, I wore my pajamas and tucked myself to bed.

There was calmness around me until I saw a shadow passed through my room, out of curiosity I quietly opened my door and saw, fabian sneaking out  of his room. Something felt fishy, so I  followed me to find out the truth his hiding from everyone.

I veered forward to after him, abruptly Alexis voice attained my attention, she screams out of her room and jumped on me, "ra..rat" she sewed my eyes to the direction the rat was seen, she gets down and dragged me in.

I was also scared of the same thing, I hated rats while growing up, so I thought now that I ain't no kid anymore, I can as well catch the rat in the room.

She held me on my cloth, and Walked behind, she poked her head and points out the directions to me.

As we veered closer, just then the rat runs out of its hiding place, no one had to tell me, I jumped on the bed, holding onto Alexis who shivered.

Seconds passed and we still held unto each other, Alvin walked into her room and saw us together, his veers close and dragged Alexis off the bed, Instantly gaining my attention.

I loomed my eyes around the room, trying to make sure that the rat wasn't there anymore, but returned my eyes when Keith decides to open his mouth and alter the first thing, his head thought off.

It's disgusting to hear, such a word coming out of his mouth, indeed not once did he try to understand me, after living together for more than a year, yet my little brother knows nothing about me.

I had zero tolerance to indecency,  and as much as I'll love to beat the spell his father, Leonardo cast on him against me, it's best he learns his mistake by himself. (I got down from the bed and walked out of the room).

Alexis attempted to go after me, Keith pulls her back weaving a warning, he says, "how many times, do I have to tell you to stay away from my brother, the next time I see you with him, I won't be responsible for it".

His hostile statements shoved her (tori) to the wall as she answered back in an irritated tone.

" What is wrong with you? Why are behaving like a five-year-old boy, who's fighting over a candy with his brother, ?".

"Because I am!" ln a raised tone he answered her back, tori veers back in mistrust, 'your unbelievable" she turns back to leave but thwarts when Keith shocking truth repaid her attention over to him.

"What?" She says alarmed by his confession, Keith in return gags her forward and forcefully kissed her.

"I love you! I have said this twice to you and I promise to love you the same way, you love me".

An astonishing look draped over her countenance, out of doubt she pushed Keith off, hurling out in an agrivated words

" Keith gets out and don't let me see your face, for the next few hours, please leave ".

She walks close to the door and opened it for him, Keith moves close and walks away after seeing the angry look on her face, but that didn't end there, Alvin comes over to my room and pushed the door open without knocking.

" We need to talk?" Keith says, regaining my eyes to him.

He walks in, shuts the door, without any invitation from me.

I watched as he paced like a paranoid chicken who's about getting slaughtered.

After a few minutes, he turns to me and asked me, "do you have feelings of love for tori?". ( he waits to hear my rejoinder.

A fragile smile smeared on my face, the question I was yet to understand was, is my brother getting jealous over a girl he bears no romantic feelings for? Or has he finally falling in love with her?.
