Overcoming her fears

Riordan hunted the deer with the single minded purpose of a starving man but it was only to distract himself from his bigger problem. It was becoming increasingly difficult to stay away from her.

The moon was full and bright and his arm would have healed a lot faster if he shifted since but he didn’t. He didn’t trust his wolf not to go after her. He had never thought himself a patient man but for her he had learned. He watched her swagger arrogantly through each day, marching from one type of trouble into the next and he waited patiently for her to come to him. He waited for her to realise by herself that he was waiting, for her to make up her mind.

But these days, he forgot to be patient. He succumbed to the need to touch her skin, to inhale her fragrance. He marched her on that stupid horse and put her in a rotten mood because it was a pale imitation of what she made him feel.
