Home sweet home

Freya couldn’t remember a time she felt so happy. She woke up with a smile on her face early in the morning and she felt around for him. She was sure it was not a dream last night that he joined her later in the night. He was here, insatiable as ever as he worshiped her body, neither of them caring about the noise they made together when they found that rhythm that could unmake stars and even worlds.

She felt only he empty bed now and she groaned as she opened her eyes. Where on earth did he go so early?

She crawled out of bed, singing some jaunty tune she probably heard from some drunkard and pulling her hair up into a ponytail as she padded to the bathroom. She passed by the mirror and her heart lurched, stopped in her chest as her steps faltered. She took two steps backwards until she was looking into the mirror again and her horrified eyes were glued to the large bruise on the inside of her arm.

Abandoning her hair, she ran closer to the mirror and examined her nakedness. There,
