-EMILY-

Three days had passed since I had let out the Sealed up Vampire King. Dad had refused to speak with me, the nurse had died jumping down the stairs and I could see the guilt he had built up within himself.

To top it all off I had been seeing things at night. Momo had been appearing a lot in the mirror and it had become quite scary. I couldn't check out the mirror nor could I use my phone without seeing his face, his soft voice reaching out to me about the one thing I wished had never happened.

Sightings of the so-called monsters had come to an end and school had resumed for the session. I had spoken with Dad about it but his silence still stood.

"I am heading to school, I'll be back later." I let out, lifting my bag from the table beside me.

He tilted his head back, a lifeless sigh leaving his mouth. His facial expression spelt concern, despair and anxiety. What was really going on within him?

"Why did you save that boy Emily?" His deep voice stopped me in my tracks.

I stood before him, dumbfounded by the words that fell out. Even though Momo was like a little brother to me, my father cherished him far more than I had ever. Where was this coming from?

"Dad, Momo is …" He lifted his hand, smacking me on the face.

My hand found my face, caressing the itch it had caused. I didn't feel pain, but my heart ached that he had retorted to violence.

"Momo is bad news. His siblings killed twenty of the town's men, he alone murdered his siblings and almost took down the monster who attacked their house. He was a monster."

"He saved me Dad." I yelled.

"Dad? You're not my daughter." His face stern "My daughter died that day, you're just an imposter."

"Dad…" I muttered, tears rolling down my cheeks.

"You led your mom to her destruction, killed the nurse and unsealed a curse that had been kept sacred for years." His voice grew deeper.

"You're free to use the house all you want. Just remember, you're not wanted here." He returned to his room, slamming the door on my face.

I clutched my chest, the ache in my heart leveling up. The urge to run wild was growing as I stared at the locked door. The sound of his rapidly beating heart resonating in my ears as he slumped down to the ground on the other side of the door.

"I wouldn't come back, father, if that's what you want. I'm sorry I've caused you so much pain along with Mom; you'll be much better without a burden like me."

I grabbed my bag, stamping my feet on the door as I left. I thought he would realize that I was walking out of his life for real and would come with his father and daughter to talk, but he didn't bother.

Did he really mean all those words?

I walked out of the neighborhood, wiping the tears that had gathered in my eyes.

"How can she still be alive? They pronounced her dead and she began to breathe when she was about to be placed in the coffin." Murmurs erupted.

"I heard she belongs to a supernatural organization in her school. Maybe she's a mythical witch just as Father Timothy had claimed."

Father Timothy? That old geezer had deemed me a witch just because I had been miraculously revived. He really had the guts to spit out sensational sh*t to his followers.

"Sister Emily…" I gripped my ear as I began to hear Momo's voice.

I tossed my head around hoping his voice would fade away but it only made it worse. My ears bled, the pain intense as I fell to the ground.

"The Witch is down, this might just be our time to end her once and for all."

The clashing sound of metals behind me sent shivers down my spine. Momo's voice had faded but I was in far greater trouble.

The neighbors had gathered round, encircling me with broken pipes and steel bars. They were scared of me, of my very existence.

"You witch." A black lady ran forward, swinging her pipe towards me. My hands moved, catching it before it could trample over my head.

"That proves it, she's a Witch." She staggered back, the men moving forward in an attempt to hold me down.

"Trust me. I'm not a Witch, I'm a human like everyone here." I said.

"What's with the weird teeths then?" A man yelled.

I held my hand up, checking out my teeth. I could feel it all of a sudden, two teeths sharper than others on opposite sides. Mythological facts had called them fangs… How could I have them?

"Her eyes aren't black no more."

The sun had suddenly begun to affect me, my eyes felt heavy, burning with the intense sunlight. That wasn't enough to prove that I was a monster, they're just frightened.

"Monster!" I fell to the ground, my head banging with intense pain. Before me stood Father Timothy, a silver rod in his hand, blood dripping from the edge… My blood.

"I have received a message to eliminate this Monster and keep the community safe. We can't let monsters keep roaming the world and infecting more of our people." He hit me again.

"We must banish her, send her back to her Ungodly friends and family who believe they can creep us out. Kill the monster."

They ran forward, yelling with all their might as they charged towards me. Their heart pounding to the fear in their hearts, they were going to kill me to stop their insecurities.

Is this how the beautiful Emily is going to end? I thought I would become a stallion, a bright star every young lady would look up to. What a fool I've been.

A sinister aura cloaked the surrounding, my senses awakening. Groans filled the air, metals clashing onto the earth.

"Little Vamparina…"
