Chapter 269

Emily stood at the car as she watched Richard who was still busy with the reporters who had come for the press conference. He seemed like a happy man and she was glad that he eventually took the step he always wanted to take.

From where he stood, he caught sight of Emily who was staring at him and that even gladdened his heart more. He winked at her while she blushed and narrowed away her gaze.

Richard got done with the reporters soon and in a jiffy, they were on their way back home.

“Can we go somewhere else, to relax?” Emily asked Richard who nodded his head in affirmation.

Emily was scared that Barbara might be up to something back at the house. At such, she needed to get some air and clear her thoughts before returning to the house.
