Chapter 270

Emily barely slept all through the night. She stayed up, listening to the various blogs and websites that wouldn’t stop talking about Richard and his marital chaos.

For some reasons she couldn’t decipher, she felt a glint of hope popping out almost every second. Probably because most of the comments were beginning to support Richard’s actions, while condemning Barbara for being an incompetent wife and woman.

Irrespective of all, Emily was unable to bring herself to sleep. She was currently sleeping on a couch in her son’s nursery; something she wasn’t supposed to do, since that was against the deal she struck with Barbara.

However, the moment she returned to her room, she would jerk up with fright and run back to her son’s room, with fear of sleeping and waking to see his absence burning in her soul.
