It was still 5:am. It was yet to be daybreak, and everywhere was still dark. Barbara has successfully removed every bit of sleep in Richard’s eyes, and he was left pondering over her words while tossing on his bed restlessly.

Severally, he tried to toss the thoughts aside, especially because of how much he trusted Emily. But then, somehow, it kept on kicking in, and he found himself getting drowned with the thoughts and fear that came off it.

When he couldn’t take any of it anymore, he got off the bed and walked down the stairs. He only wanted to have a walk, but he ended up going to his son’s nursery.

The door was opened and just as he had thought, Emily was asleep on the couch in the room.

He chuckled calmly and walked closer to her, admiring how sleep she looked while she slept and wondering how soon it would be to make her his wife.
