Chapter 139

Emily opened her eyes calmly to meet a white ceiling. Everywhere was white and for a minute, she tried to think of where she was.

Just then, the door creaked open, and the doctor came in with wide smiles on his face.

“How are you doing?” He asked, placing his palm over her forehead and nodding his head in elation.

“You are doing better now”, he informed Emily, who struggled to sit up on the bed.

The doctor helped her up until she was comfortable and relaxed.

“What am I doing here?”

“This is a hospital. You were probably sick and that was why you were brought here”, the doctor replied, still smiling at Emily, who had a wide frown on her face.

“Who brought me here?”

“Your sister and her husband. I never knew that Mr. Richard and his wife have such a beautiful relative like you”, the doctor whispered and chuckled calmly.

Emily clenched her fist and nodded her head calmly. “How else did she expect to be introduced?” She asked herself sarcastically.
