Chapter 144

Richard and Emily got back to the house some minutes past 5pm. Everywhere was dead silent, and it was clear that Barbara was away.

“Thank you so much again, Richard”, Emily said thankfully as she pulled him into one last hug.

“I should head over to my room. I need to rest”, she said with a calm smile on her face.

Richard nodded his head and said his final goodbye to her.

Emily walked back to her room, feeling extremely elated to have achieved what she wanted.
