DAISY’S POV
Words failed me when I discovered Jezebel was truly pregnant. Not that I didn’t want her to get pregnant, but she was showing signs that made it look like she had a secret she was keeping, regarding that pregnancy.
Especially this night when she acted so worked up when I insisted that we do a check up on her, in a different hospital.
While standing in the waiting room, Max walked up to me.
“I need to see you, Daisy. Can we step out?” He asked, and I nodded.
Although, I wondered what he needed to see me for. I followed him out to his car, and then he leaned his back on the car, while standing firmly.
For a moment, silence reigned, and I did nothing but wait for him to speak. I just hoped he wasn’t about to say something which would break my heart.
