Dead?

DAISY’S POV

It was evening already, and so much tears had been shed to an extent that my eyes were giving me a burning sensation. Yet, more tears streamed down my eyes as I thought more and more of what they could be doing to my daughter.

I dreaded the next message they were going to send to me was going to be Nadia’s dead body. There was no way I could bear that. I wouldn’t feel alive, anymore; neither would I forgive myself for not being able to protect her, regardless of if I was present, or not.

“Goodness.” I muttered under my breath as I kept waiting, for a message from them.

The time was 8pm, and that was obviously late into the night, so why would they not have sent a message, at all? Did they change their mind, or were they cooking something different, up?

I looked towards my window, staring at the night sky, pleadingly, hoping that I would hear nothing but good news.

Hour by hour, time passed, even until 11pm, and yet, no news. I couldn’t think straight anymore, and so many
