MAX’ POV

About thirty minutes had passed since I got a call from the cops, and then all of a sudden, my phone rang. when I glanced at it, I noticed it was Nicholas who was calling.

So, I answered his call.

“What’s the update?” I asked him as he was with the cops, the whole time.

And for him to have been the one to call me, I didn’t think they had any luck in finding Jezebel’s body.

“Her body is missing. She might have been devoured by the creatures.” He informed me, and I sighed. “Alright then. Talk to you later.”

As I dropped the call, I sighed deeply again. Well, if they had searched over and over, than it meant that she was really gone. Although, it was quite disturbing that I didn’t see it with my naked eyes, but I had no choice than to give up on the search.

It also annoyed me that I kept getting worried over someone who had done many worse things to I, Daisy and our children. I shook my head, and decided to forget about her, since she wasn’t even supposed to be in my head, at
