Sixty nine

KALILA’S POV

I woke up the next morning with a warm feeling, I had wrapped myself up in a blanket after showering the previous night. It was still very cold, the chill of the morning and that of the night hardly had any difference. I was checking my time now with each passing day, I really hoped the goddess of the moon was on my side, otherwise I would be sunk.

I stretched on the bed like a wild cat until I felt my bones fall perfectly into place. I felt so tired, it was probably because of the walk of the previous night. I had to contact Melissa soon, I didn’t want to meet Jahdiel just yet, maybe she could get his own side of the story. Ares’s was pretty palpable and after hearing what he had said yesterday, I couldn’t blame him completely. I sighed heavily, it was going to be a long day, I still had to talk to Jeremy later on. I felt so lazy as I crawled off the bed, I stopped suddenly as I saw Ares seated on his desk.
