Laura's POV

I stared at the scroll in my hand and could not help the feeling of uneasy that enveloped me. The scribbled inky words were a stark contrast to Logan's handwriting.

Had he written this response or asked someone to because I could swear that this was not his writing? Something seems off, from the writing, to the message it conveyed.

“Is everything alright?” Jayde asked, coming to stand beside me.

“I don't know, but something seems wrong about this message.” I replied.

“Let me see,” Jayde requested, and I handed the scroll into her outstretched hand.

“Hmm,” Jayde mumbled thoughtfully. “Of all the times I have read Logan's letters to you, this particular one seems odd. It lacks his tone, handwriting, and even the signature looks wobbly and forged.”

“I know, right? But, no one can send this letter if it is not Logan.”

“That's right. No one can have access to his Royal scroll and ink except himself.” Jayde.
