AMBER'S POV

It's been two months since Alice left, and in intervals, my heart involuntarily trailed off with thoughts of her. I wondered when she was going to be back.

Although we exchange letters occasionally, it still was not equivalent to her presence and the moments we spent together.

Now, without her, I felt lost and isolated once again. I missed her laughter, her scoldings, her advice, and the comfort of having another friend aside Beth, in this unfamiliar pack.

Beth was kind, but we do not share the same chemistry I shared with Alice.
