LOGAN‘S POV

“Don’t this seem like a trap to you?“ Gertrude asked.

The meeting had just concluded and I was heading to my room. I had asked Ghen to show them to the visitors chamber where they will be statin the night.

“I agree with Gertrude. It seems rather odd,” Luke seconded.

“It also seems odd to me but what could I have done? After having breakfast with them tomorrow, I’ll kindly send her off because I also don’t believe her story,” i said.

Luke headed to his room as I went into mine.

“You shouldn’t have granted Noel’s wish. I don’t trust his ways one bit,” Gertrude said.

“It’s great that you’re finally looking at hun the way I do,” I said as I grabbed the whiskey off my desk and left.

I sat on the highest rock in the backyard and immediately brought out the bottle of whiskey. I emptied the half empty bottle of whiskey into two glasses. I took mine and gave the other to Gertrude.

“When he said you were once the little brother that used to look up to him, what did he mean?” Gertrud
