LOGAN’S POV“The letter was sent to the Red fanged pack yesterday. They will be expecting my visit this morning. But you both will come along with me even if it wasn’t written in the letter. And you’ll both be introduced to Alpha Logan. Understood?“ I asked.“You’re always so bossy when it comes to perfecting your plan, Noel. At least treat us with a little more respect,” Howard giggled.“I just want to know if they both understood the plan. Do you both understand?!“ I barked.More respect, my foot! You want to be treated like partners when the fact is that you’re under me. You’re both just working for my goal, I thought.“Of course we do. There’s no need to get violent, Noel. So when are we departing?” Howard asked.“We are to depart this morning. Make sure to pack enough clothes for a few days, because I’ll try to convince Logan so he could let us stay for a few days. It’s going to be difficult but not impossible.“I forgot about the part where you say we should pack enough clothes.
LOGAN‘S POV“Don’t this seem like a trap to you?“ Gertrude asked. The meeting had just concluded and I was heading to my room. I had asked Ghen to show them to the visitors chamber where they will be statin the night.“I agree with Gertrude. It seems rather odd,” Luke seconded.“It also seems odd to me but what could I have done? After having breakfast with them tomorrow, I’ll kindly send her off because I also don’t believe her story,” i said.Luke headed to his room as I went into mine.“You shouldn’t have granted Noel’s wish. I don’t trust his ways one bit,” Gertrude said.“It’s great that you’re finally looking at hun the way I do,” I said as I grabbed the whiskey off my desk and left.I sat on the highest rock in the backyard and immediately brought out the bottle of whiskey. I emptied the half empty bottle of whiskey into two glasses. I took mine and gave the other to Gertrude.“When he said you were once the little brother that used to look up to him, what did he mean?” Gertrud
LUKE’S POV“Very well, Master. Have your rest and I will take care of it,” I replied to Alpha Logan and left his room.I knew that our elite war soldiers wouldn’t be anywhere but guarding the dungeon, so I headed to the dungeon. I picked the ten soldiers I needed and assigned to them various positions around the visitors chambers. I wasn’t satisfied so I assigned three more soldiers and placed each at the door of our guests.Even though Alpha Logan had ordered me to assign only ten guards, I disobeyed and assigned thirteen just in case. But why? Why don’t I feel satisfied after assigning that many soldiers just to three wolves? Why do I still feel restless? I feel like I’m missing something. Not only that. Today was way off. It’s been raining for more than twenty hours. I’ve never experienced such before in my life. not my that, I feel very heavy. It’s hit because of my heavy coat or the daggers I carry around. I just feel very heavy. Walking like this feels very painful. Using my han
LOGAN’S POVI rose up from my bed and headed to the restroom. After using the restroom, I retired to my bed. I looked out the window and the gravy rain had completely stopped which was quite unusual. Before I went to sleep I heard a loud thud. It was as if the palace was being raided. I decided to check what was going on in the west. Before I opened my door, my room was being filled with gas. A greenish colored gas.I began to cough and jerk back away from the door. The door immediately flung open and two figures entered my room. I couldn’t see them because of the hazardous gas. After the gas had left through the window, I was now able to see properly. It was Noel and Howard.I rose up on my feet to charge at them but then I fell back down. I heard a very loud whistle. I’ve never heard anything as loud as it. Neither Noel nor Howard reacted to the noise. It was as if I was the only one hearing this insane noise. I held my ears as I screamed in pain. I then glanced at my bloody hands.
NOEL’S POVI rose up and threw my back to a wall behind me while holding my aching head. My head hurt really badly. I touched my forehead and felt a bland liquid. I brought my finger before me and realized that I was bleeding. I turned around, searching for Logan.Perhaps, he ran away, I thought.“I should probably—”I glanced at the body lying before me. It was Alpha Logan. I turned him around to see his face just to be sure and I was right, it was him. I looked outside the room and saw Howard gagging heavily. His eyes and face were all red.I never expected what I planned to turn out like this. I completely underestimated Alpha Logan. I never acknowledged the rumors about him. I always claimed that they were fake and that wasn’t how he was in real life. But how can I boldly say that the rumors about him are all fake.He isn’t just a regular wolf. He’s far worse than anyone I’ve ever fought. We had to use extra gas to make him lose his sense of hearing and make him wobbly and still I
NOEL’S POV“Alpha Logan and his comrades haven’t even batted an eye. Are you sure they’re still alive?” Howard asked.“You worry too much, Howard. Of course they’re still alive. Do you think it’s that easy kill for them? They’re his prestigious men for crying out loud,” I said confidently because I know the type of wolves they are.“Prestigious men? These men that Alpha Logan call his prestigious men-they aren’t ordinary wolves, are they?” He asked, wearing a curious look on his face.“No, they aren’t. Their fighting style and battle experience are more fascinating than any wolf,” I replied.“Does that mean that they’re far more ranked wolves than an elite wolf?” He asked.“Of course. Most of them are even above Alpha levels. They always say that a student will surpass his master as time goes on but this case is different. There’s no way any of them will ever surpass Logan,” I said as I chuckled.“You know, they were ten of them, originally. Most of them died from an ambush or during
Laura's POVI stared at the scroll in my hand and could not help the feeling of uneasy that enveloped me. The scribbled inky words were a stark contrast to Logan's handwriting.Had he written this response or asked someone to because I could swear that this was not his writing? Something seems off, from the writing, to the message it conveyed.“Is everything alright?” Jayde asked, coming to stand beside me.“I don't know, but something seems wrong about this message.” I replied.“Let me see,” Jayde requested, and I handed the scroll into her outstretched hand.“Hmm,” Jayde mumbled thoughtfully. “Of all the times I have read Logan's letters to you, this particular one seems odd. It lacks his tone, handwriting, and even the signature looks wobbly and forged.”“I know, right? But, no one can send this letter if it is not Logan.”“That's right. No one can have access to his Royal scroll and ink except himself.” Jayde.A lengthy silence descended as I contemplated the letter's request.“Wh
NOEL'S POV“They are here, Alpha.” Howard appeared by my side and whispered.“That's good news,” I replied with a smirk. “Let's go,” I added.I rose from the throne chair and let Howard lead me towards the spacious hallway, and we took a turn that led to a room close to the attic. We stopped at a door, and the soldiers, flanked on both sides, instantly bowed their heads in reverence.A smile of satisfaction crossed my mouth. This is precisely how I had envisaged my life to be. Commanding so much respect and influence, but unfortunately, my late father only saw me fit as a good soldier and not worthy to ascend the throne. But all that doesn't matter anymore because look at me, after years of planning, I have finally overthrown his favorite son and usurped the throne.Howard inserted a key into the keyhole and turned the door open. We stepped inside and were ushered into a dark, spacious room. The room had a stale smell and reeked of dust.Howard walked to a corner of the room and pulle
