NOEL

“Have they left?” I asked the bartender.

“Yes, Master Noel. I watched all three of them leave through the exit. You needn’t worry,” Sal, an elite soldier of mine answered.

“His escorts didn’t have anything, did they?” I asked.

“No, Master Noel,” Sal replied.

Logan’s still as smart as ever. He still has the idea of how dangerous I can be. But he doesn’t know that I don’t stoop so low as to add poison in water, I thought.

“Pour me a glass,” I ordered.

“Sure thing,” he said as he began to fix my drink.

I reached into my pocket and brought out my pocket watch. Midnight was oniy half an hour away.

“Where could they?” I muttered as I angrily tightened my grip around the pocket watch. I snatched my glass off the table and immediately drank it. “Both of them had told me they wouldn't take so long. They even promised to show up at the party. The party ended two hours ago. How come they haven’t arrived—”

“Master Noel!” A beta called out to me.

“What is it? Can’t you tell I’m busy?”

LOGAN’S POV“Why did you leave so suddenly, Master?” Naniel asked. “It’s almost midnight and we have no place to sleep. We could’ve spent a night at the all alpha pack.”“That’s the reason why we left in the first place. How am i expected to sleep in a place that I don’t even trust the water they give me?” I said as I continued to walk.My escorts and I were supposed to journey ten hours before arriving at the palace. It’s been two hours since we began journeying, and it seemed like we’d been walking in circles.“Hey, Logan!” Gertrude yelled.“Why are you yelling at a time like this? Don’t you know you’ll attract enemies? I’m too stressed to start fighting. What do you want?” I asked with an expressionless look on my face.He began with a soft tone. “Ok, Logan, I was just wondering…” he then screamed as loud as possible. “Why the hell are we embarking on a ten hours journey in the middle of the night?!”“Quit yelling, you good for nothing piece of human flesh! Why are you being the on

LOGAN’S POVWe returned to the palace as soon as the sun rose. I didn’t get enough sleep in the palace of the howling dawn pack because the crows flying by wouldn’t stop cawing. So I decided to sleep some more in my room.I woke up at noon. Around two o’clock. When I got up from the bed, my body felt heavier than normal. I had thought it was my heavy coat and blazer, so I took them off hoping that this irritating feeling would come to an end but I was wrong. The heaviness in my body wasn’t because of my heavy clothes. It was definitely something else.“What’s wrong?” Gertrude asked. “You just took off your coat and now you’re checking yourself in the mirror. Are you perhaps going on a date?”No“When will you ever quit saying rubbish?” I asked angrily.“Probably, never,” he replied truthfully. “And besides, I’ve never seen you act this way. That’s why I assumed you were going on a date.”“So you mean that there’s no other assumption to what I’m doing than a date?“ I asked.“Exactly!”

LOGAN’S POV“The letter was sent to the Red fanged pack yesterday. They will be expecting my visit this morning. But you both will come along with me even if it wasn’t written in the letter. And you’ll both be introduced to Alpha Logan. Understood?“ I asked.“You’re always so bossy when it comes to perfecting your plan, Noel. At least treat us with a little more respect,” Howard giggled.“I just want to know if they both understood the plan. Do you both understand?!“ I barked.More respect, my foot! You want to be treated like partners when the fact is that you’re under me. You’re both just working for my goal, I thought.“Of course we do. There’s no need to get violent, Noel. So when are we departing?” Howard asked.“We are to depart this morning. Make sure to pack enough clothes for a few days, because I’ll try to convince Logan so he could let us stay for a few days. It’s going to be difficult but not impossible.“I forgot about the part where you say we should pack enough clothes.

LOGAN‘S POV“Don’t this seem like a trap to you?“ Gertrude asked. The meeting had just concluded and I was heading to my room. I had asked Ghen to show them to the visitors chamber where they will be statin the night.“I agree with Gertrude. It seems rather odd,” Luke seconded.“It also seems odd to me but what could I have done? After having breakfast with them tomorrow, I’ll kindly send her off because I also don’t believe her story,” i said.Luke headed to his room as I went into mine.“You shouldn’t have granted Noel’s wish. I don’t trust his ways one bit,” Gertrude said.“It’s great that you’re finally looking at hun the way I do,” I said as I grabbed the whiskey off my desk and left.I sat on the highest rock in the backyard and immediately brought out the bottle of whiskey. I emptied the half empty bottle of whiskey into two glasses. I took mine and gave the other to Gertrude.“When he said you were once the little brother that used to look up to him, what did he mean?” Gertrud

LUKE’S POV“Very well, Master. Have your rest and I will take care of it,” I replied to Alpha Logan and left his room.I knew that our elite war soldiers wouldn’t be anywhere but guarding the dungeon, so I headed to the dungeon. I picked the ten soldiers I needed and assigned to them various positions around the visitors chambers. I wasn’t satisfied so I assigned three more soldiers and placed each at the door of our guests.Even though Alpha Logan had ordered me to assign only ten guards, I disobeyed and assigned thirteen just in case. But why? Why don’t I feel satisfied after assigning that many soldiers just to three wolves? Why do I still feel restless? I feel like I’m missing something. Not only that. Today was way off. It’s been raining for more than twenty hours. I’ve never experienced such before in my life. not my that, I feel very heavy. It’s hit because of my heavy coat or the daggers I carry around. LOGAN’S POVI rose up from my bed and headed to the restroom. After using the restroom, I retired to my bed. I looked out the window and the gravy rain had completely stopped which was quite unusual. Before I went to sleep I heard a loud thud. It was as if the palace was being raided. I decided to check what was going on in the west. Before I opened my door, my room was being filled with gas. A greenish colored gas.I began to cough and jerk back away from the door. The door immediately flung open and two figures entered my room. I couldn’t see them because of the hazardous gas. After the gas had left through the window, I was now able to see properly. It was Noel and Howard.I rose up on my feet to charge at them but then I fell back down. I heard a very loud whistle. I’ve never heard anything as loud as it. Neither Noel nor Howard reacted to the noise. It was as if I was the only one hearing this insane noise. I held my ears as I screamed in pain. I then glanced at my bloody hands.

NOEL’S POVI rose up and threw my back to a wall behind me while holding my aching head. My head hurt really badly. I touched my forehead and felt a bland liquid. I brought my finger before me and realized that I was bleeding. I turned around, searching for Logan.Perhaps, he ran away, I thought.“I should probably—”I glanced at the body lying before me. It was Alpha Logan. I turned him around to see his face just to be sure and I was right, it was him. I looked outside the room and saw Howard gagging heavily. His eyes and face were all red.I never expected what I planned to turn out like this. I completely underestimated Alpha Logan. I never acknowledged the rumors about him. I always claimed that they were fake and that wasn’t how he was in real life. But how can I boldly say that the rumors about him are all fake.He isn’t just a regular wolf. He’s far worse than anyone I’ve ever fought. We had to use extra gas to make him lose his sense of hearing and make him wobbly and still I

NOEL’S POV“Alpha Logan and his comrades haven’t even batted an eye. Are you sure they’re still alive?” Howard asked.“You worry too much, Howard. Of course they’re still alive. Do you think it’s that easy kill for them? They’re his prestigious men for crying out loud,” I said confidently because I know the type of wolves they are.“Prestigious men? These men that Alpha Logan call his prestigious men-they aren’t ordinary wolves, are they?” He asked, wearing a curious look on his face.“No, they aren’t. Their fighting style and battle experience are more fascinating than any wolf,” I replied.“Does that mean that they’re far more ranked wolves than an elite wolf?” He asked.“Of course. Most of them are even above Alpha levels. They always say that a student will surpass his master as time goes on but this case is different. There’s no way any of them will ever surpass Logan,” I said as I chuckled.“You know, they were ten of them, originally. Most of them died from an ambush or during

LOGAN'S POVIt's been a week since Amber and I were joined by the mating bond in the mating ceremony. The preceding days have been nothing but blissful. Carrying Grandal everywhere with me, even to court meetings with the elders of the pack. It felt like I was trying to make up for the times that we were apart from each other. As for Amber, she glowed every day, blossoming like a flower. Every day, I set my eyes on her, I can't help but desire to take her to bed and make love to her.But then, I didn't mean to rush things. I had treated her badly in the past, sexually, and would want our sexual encounters henceforth to be better. It was a bright cool morning and I prepared for my meeting with the elders. We had a lot to deliberate on, and I wouldn't want to keep them waiting.I arrived at the pack's house, the sun slowly rising from its abode in the sky. I walked into the hall and the elders were already seated, their faces expectant.I exchanged pleasantries with them, as I took my s

I could not believe that after such a while, I was finally reunited with them.“Are you alright?” I inquired, disengaging from the hug to take a proper look at them.Amber looked shocked, like she had seen a ghost but nodded, “Yes, we are.”Quickly, I turned to my men. “A number of you should fetch the pot while the rest and I will proceed home with Scott, my mate and my son.”My men nodded and walked off to carry out the order while a number of them stayed back. “Come on, it's time to head home,” I rose to my feet and pulled Amber up. “Let me have him,” I said, gesturing to my son.Amber obliged and handed him to me and surprisingly, he didn't make a fuss but relaxed comfortably in my arms.Turning to my men, I ordered, “let's head home, our mission is completed.” They nodded and we filed out of the dungeon. We made our way outside Scott's pack house, the dead bodies of his men

LOGAN'S POVI had assembled my men on returning from the seer's home. I filled them in on what the seer revealed, and I also informed them about the ritual to be held. They were all supportive as they all wanted Scott defeated as much as I wanted. So in the preceding days, I made preparations for the ritual, making provision for all the necessary materials we needed. And so the D–day arrived. The seer led me and my men to a large, open field on the outskirts of the Red Fanged Pack's territory. The moon was full in the sky, casting a silver glow over us. My men stood in a circle around me, their eyes fixed on me.The seer stood at the center of the circle, her eyes closed, her hands raised to the moon. “The moon goddess demands a ritual to weaken Scott's hold on the sacred pot,” she declared, her voice reverberating across the field.I nodded, my heart pulsating with anticipation. I knew that this ritual was the key to rescuing my mate and son.The seer began to chant, her voice risi

LOGAN'S POVThat night, I couldn't sleep as I kept tossing on the bed, nightmares of Amber and Grandal sleeping in a dungeon plaguing my dream.I couldn't believe Scott could be that cruel to a little child. I was even more angry at Amber for running off to my enemy's territory.I was unable to sleep as I rose from bed in the wee hours of the morning to visit my study. I tried to attend to some paperwork to get my mind off the events of the previous day, but I couldn't.It was in my restless state that I fell asleep on my study chair. The knock on the door roused me from sleep.“Come in,” I answered, groggily sitting up.My advisor stepped in, his face bearing an urgent expression. “Good morning, Alpha. The seer has sent for you on the moon goddess’s order.”My eyes immediately lit up. “Is it about my mate and son?”“I doubt. You have to hear her call right away.”I nodded and rose from the chair as I made my way back to my chambers. I freshened up and got changed into something befit

SCOTT'S POVAfter sending out the letter to Logan, I instructed my men to get prepared because I was sure Logan would come for war.He was a man of pride who never said no challenges, and just like I predicted, he arrived with his men Two days after I sent out the letter.“Alpha Logan and his men are here, armed to the teeth.” My advisor came to inform me, in my study.I let out an amused laughter. “Just like I expected. The men should not panic because he and his men won't be able to penetrate.” I said with so much confidence. My advisor nodded and exited the study. After he left, I took my time before heading outside to see Logan and his men. I walked out of the study, a smirk plastered on my face. I made my way to the palace gate, where Logan and his men were waiting. As I approached, I could see the determination in their eyes, but I knew it was futile.“Logan, Logan, Logan,” I said, shaking my head. “You really thought you could take on me and my pack? You're no match for us.”

LOGAN'S POVSince our rescue, today was the day I was finally meeting with my men. The reason being that I wanted everyone to be fully recuperated for the tasks at hand.I intended to restore the pack to its previous state. Compensate every family that Noel had killed their loved one or loved ones or stolen from them.I also intended to compensate Jayde and Laura for the inhumane treatment meted out to them by Noel. I also handed back the Zion's pack back to Laura.Afterward, I want to begin my search for Amber and my son. But before that, I had to summon the moon goddess for her opinion.“You all are welcome,” I said to my men as they all assembled in the throne room, on my orders.“We have a lot to discuss, but first I want to specifically thank you all for sticking by me. It is only unfortunate that we lost one of us during that trying mind,” at the mention of that, their eyes turned misty.“Wherever he is, Killian will be happy to know that we got the pack back. For that, I want u

SCOTT'S POVI stormed out of Amber's room, my vision blinded by fury. I couldn't believe that the woman and her child I have been harboring and come to take as family are the mate and son of the man I detest with every single fiber of my being.Amber–who would have thought a woman as calm, conserved and innocent like her is capable of such deceit? More reasons why quiet females should be avoided at all cost.I arrived at my study, the walk from Amber's room doing nothing to alleviate how I was feeling. I felt used, betrayed and foolish.Lowering myself on my seat, I reminisced on the raid carried out by Logan and his men. My fury skyrocketed as I thought about the number of my soldiers and pack members that were lost that night. No matter how hard I tried to wave the painful thoughts, owing to my promise to Amber to keep her and Grandal safe, the images of that night still came surging back like an angry tide.My heart constricted painfully in my chest. LOGAN'S POVI have never felt satisfied and relieved like I felt when I delivered the blow to Noel's face.“You bastard!” I growled and charged towards him, aiming to hit him again, but I was restrained by the other Alphas.“You need to get a grip on yourself, Alpha. You need to recover first, he will be here to get the penalty of his deeds. You need detoxification as I can smell poison all over you.” Sir James said, pulling me backward. As if on cue, I felt a wave of dizziness and I staggered backwards.“Are you okay?” I heard different voices in the background as my head swoon. I tried to stay stable, but couldn't. I doubled up, and my legs gave way beneath me as I lost consciousness. That was all I recalled as I woke up to find myself on a bed. Groggily, I opened my eyes and was met by pairs of worried eyes staring down at me.“Thank God he is awake,” a voice said, and I tried to prop myself up on the bed but stopped as a banging headache overtook me.“Don't stress yourself, Logan.

NOEL'S POVI turned to the maiden and harshly ordered her to leave my chambers. Hurriedly, I slipped my manhood back into my trousers.Turning to Olivia, I asked. “Are the soldiers retaliating?”“They are, but they seemed outnumbered. These people mean business, and the arms that they have with them are ones that I have never seen before.” Olivia explained, her eyes misty with fear.“Go on, I'm coming after you.”Hesitantly, she stared at me before hurrying off.Confusion overtook me as I slipped into my fighting clothes, wondering who these Invaders were. And to worsen things, they attacked at night, a vulnerable time when everyone would be exhausted from their diverse daily activities. My confusion was replaced by fear. My soldiers are not prepared enough because no one was expecting an attack.“Cowards!” I cussed at the Invaders. They didn't even have the decency to warn me beforehand about their attack.I was even more scared because there was no way to reach the Giants that had
