LOGAN’S POV

“Luke!” I called out. “You will visit me later on. I have something to discuss with you.”

“I will, Master,” he gestured a bow before leaving the meeting room.

I tied Gertrude’s string around my waist before leaving the meeting room.

“It’s strange to see Luke acting so formal,” he said while I walked through the hallway. “It’s rather funny, not strange, don’t you think?”

I was so lost in my thoughts that I forgot about Gertrude. I hadn’t any idea that Gertrude had been speaking behind me.

“Hey! Hey!” He yelled out.

I swiftly rushed back to reality. “Yes?”

“You’ve been thinking a lot lately, Logan. You need to take it easy on yourself. Thinking won’t bring you anything. Let’s have a drink this evening and talk about all this,” Gertrude said.

“I should quit thinking? No I can’t. My job is to protect the kingdom and as it is now, the kingdom will crumble if I don’t think of a way to get us out of this mess. If I don’t think, I’ll become an idiot like you!” I yelled furiously.
