LUKE’S POV

“You gentlemen should go easy on yourselves. That whisky is the last one in this kingdom. You’ll have to visit five kingdoms before you find another bottle. And that’s not even guaranteed,” the bartender giggled.

“If it has come to that, then I better…” I spoke while inserting the bottle into my coat. The cowboy kicked me on my rib cage and the bottle slipped from my hands.

I placed my right leg below the bottle and sprung it into the air before it got to the floor. I jabbed the cowboy on the necks and ran for the bottle. I reached for the bottle, but before I got the bottle, the cowboy hauled me and slammed my back into the counter.

“The bottle, Ghen!” I yelled, while in pain.

Ghen, who was busy with one of the cowboy’s aides, reached and caught the bottle. He wasn’t free enough to put the bottle into the coat. I blocked the cowboy’s punch. I jabbed him on the throat again. He jerked back, choking and gagging. I drew out my dagger and went for this throat.
